Aviation Ping!.....................
But not Constantinople!
Weird title.... Landed with impaired/non functioning front wheels or “without” as in Did they fall off or something?
While everyone seems to like dissing on Boeing lately (some deservedly) in this case it has nothing to do with Boeing, this is a fedex maintenance issue
Well, it wasn’t a 787. It was a 767 and stories like this demonstrate how stupid the media and most readers can be.
Boeing’s problems (and they are severe) do not affect planes that have been out of production (like the 767).
How is that maintenance worker DEI program working out?
Why did the 767 get the works?
That’s nobody’s business but the Turks
It's Shark Week.
Sixty-five years ago I was in a PanAm hanger on 36th St in Miami. Over the exit doorway from the hanger area going into the mechanics’ locker room was a large sign reminding the mechanics that the lives of their passengers and crews were in their hands. It made such an impression on me that I remembered it all these years. Sure wish I had the exact wording.
What is up with Boeing lately?
They have some people who let slip they were voting for Trump?
Or are they really having this many problems, and they all just happen to be occurring right now?
Well they still had the two main landing wheel assemblies, and let me tell you, two out of three ain’t bad….
Wikipedia has a list of commercial airliners currently in production:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_commercial_jet_airliners
Airbus and Boeing are about the only large-aircraft brands that are in use.
Wonder if we’re hearing about problems that Airbus planes have?
Also sounds like they have a serous maintenance issue read a few years ago they were having maintenance done in the muddle east to cut operation costs not sure if true?.
Yesterday they said it was alleged in some place that inspector supervisors checked off that they had done a list of inspections but actually skipped them.
The problem is not really the things that don’t move and should. It’s much more the things that move and shouldn’t.
The correct terminology is “nose gear.”
Industrial competitive sabotage? Planted operatives paid by other companies?
