Special counsel Jack Smith’s team acknowledged Friday that some evidence in the prosecution of former President Donald Trump for hoarding classified documents at his Florida home may not be in the same sequence FBI agents found it when they swept into the Mar-a-Lago compound with a search warrant in August 2022.
The concession from prosecutors in a court filing Friday afternoon came after attorneys for one of Trump’s co-defendants asked for a delay in the case because the defense lawyers were having trouble determining precisely where particular documents had come from in the 33 boxes the FBI seized almost two years ago.
In their filing, prosecutors acknowledged the government had previously — and incorrectly — told U.S. District Judge Aileen Cannon that the boxes remained “in their original, intact form as seized,” other than a decision to replace classified documents with placeholder sheets. That depiction, the prosecutors conceded, is “inconsistent” with their current understanding that some of the documents are not now in the same order as they appear in digital scans of the records that were made in the fall of 2022 after Cannon ordered an unusual process to review whether the FBI may have seized legally privileged records.

My suspicion as well. If the order of each document no longer matches the original scanned list, then what has been added and what has been removed? What was added or inserted into the original boxes sent south by NARA? Who did that original inventory, and how accurate wad that inventory?
What did they plant?
Nothing is organic, true, or spontaneous. Your entire world is one big sabotage effort. The scripts for the media and press are outlined months before you even approach the traps.
We don’t know what they planted because it is all classified. : )
Throw. This. Case. OUT!
Agreed, except I don’t believe such a ruling can/will come from this judge.
It doesn’t fit ‘the plan’, but the curious timing of this revelation smacks of intent.
I’m highly suspicious.
I agree...How did this even get caught...it’s called “due diligence” on the part of the defense.
What did they introduce??
So when does the Junta impose plan D?
FBI may have seized legally privileged records.
DUH it’s how frame up work and this is one of them with Biden’s finger prints all over it.
I hope you're right, but sadly, I doubt it. Kangaroo Courts don't often rule in favor of the accused.
Evidence tampering should be a cause for dismissal.
“No doubt planting evidence; lying to judge and defense team”.
BINGO!
FBI = FIB
“Chain of evidence is completely destroyed.”
indeed ... and i had been wondering if chain of custody ever existed in the first place ... lawyers for the defendants should demand extensive step-by-step documention, including all who accessed the documents, when, and what each and every individual did with said accessed documents ... if what the prosecution presents is insufficient or actually counters the known facts of the situation, the defendants should demand that the case be thrown out ...
Not the same thing...much worse.
This “evidence” was tampered with prior to it being shipped to Mar A Lago. That has already been established.
There is no case, there is no evidence, this is TDS at it’s peak.
Hillary fileserver Part II
“I believe the charges are basically mishandling classified information. The others especially Brandon and Hillary blatantly did this, but were never charged.”
There has to be a reason for this.
Imagine a family tree of fingerprints or DNA analysis of the files might reveal. Then correlate the “prints” with the organization chart in DC. How many people of high standing in a variety of government jobs have their paw prints on these documents.
Just curious.
