Air traffic controllers work for the FAA, or Federal Aviation Administration, which is part of the Department of Transportation. Too many controllers are white. And so, in 2012, our black president, Barack Obama, ordered our Hispanic transportation secretary, Michael Huerta, to order the FAA to solve that awful problem.

How about hiring based on qualifications instead of some political aspect.
Not to mention our Transportation Secretary.
I have my own plane, we had to file IFR to get back home 2 weeks ago, the controller(Los Angeles Center) did NOT have the current charts or any charts for my route, when Joshua handed us off to SoCal we had NO communications for 15 minutes then they kept us way to high to intercept the RNAV approach at the FAF, had to hand fly the approach, which is fine, But we were IMC 1 1/2 hours already and normally they clear us to 5000 way before the FAF, that way the autopilot intercepts and flies the approach. We were at 7000 with not much room to descend and couldn’t get low enough by the FAF.
Because if you’re Obama you probably would not have even been accept to the college he was if it were a pure merit based system.
Of course people like him want quotas and equity. They can’t compete.
Probably the most comprehensive and authoritative writing on the topic: The Bell Curve.

We simply ignore the aforementioned book / research since it don’t fit our paradigm, but 30 years later, we come up with the same answer: https://www1.udel.edu/educ/gottfredson/30years/Rushton-Jensen30years.pdf
There are significant differences between the races, even sexes, but even just saying that puts you in thin ice. In America, everyone is equal.
Doesn’t the FAA have a social media page for Only Negros? Asking for a friend.
Already made my decision. Haven’t flown anywhere since about 2005.
Jive talkin’.
What’s that in English?
ATC was incompetent in their handling of his return to controlled airspace.
Couple holding hands in doomed jumbo jet hurtling into a crash: “At least we were on the side of diversity and equity.”
Not all alternate landing sites result in disaster.

All to prevent you from traveling, they dont want you out and about. Why EV’s were introduced that the average person cannot afford and the banning of all fossil fuel vehicles by 2030. They are corralling us like cattle, Go back and read agenda 21, depopulation and forcing the masses into urban spaces for better control
Not workable, that would defeat the "equal outcome/equity" goals.
TSA made that decision for me in 2003. Getting through security on the way back from a business trip did it for me. I was an FAA Employee at the time.
Before I got ill, I would ONLY fly myself
Flying today as become like a bad subway ride in NYC.
You’ll have the fat guy on the left overflowing into your area. The smelly woman on the right assaulting your nostrils. A stewardess (or whatever the new PC term is for them today) throwing a bag of stale nuts at your head, and you better not complain or else security will escort you from the plane. They will upsell everything, possibly lose your luggage, after some TSA moron violates your basic constitutional rights. At the airport you’ll pay twice what everything is worth and have crappy seating.
And for all that awesomeness, you’ll pay far more than what the national inflation is and have the US Department of Transportation tell you how it’s actually cheaper, since they don’t include the cost of the TSA and other new and added taxes, etc. The airlines aren’t actually making the money: https://thepointsguy.global.ssl.fastly.net/us/originals/2022/08/Screen-Shot-2022-08-26-at-4.18.49-PM.png?width=1080. On a trans-atlantic flight, costing $1,700 per ticket, only $400 is going to the air carrier. Where is the rest going?
In a way, I feel sorry for the airlines. They aren’t lying and their profit margins are small, they are struggling.
It used to be fun to fly, special.

Yea, I was once an air traffic controller. Coffee and nicotine addiction were rampant. There were 7 coffee makers in the center I worked in. You could also still smoke in the facility too. I was a two plus pack a day and at least a pot of coffee. One of the guys got pissed one day when I grabbed a cup of his coffee, they were all different kinds of store bought coffees and the government supplied mid of course too.
I have been very fortunate. Was pro pilot until 2005. Have flown commercially once since then. Confine my rare trip to summer travel via motorhome. Had a tail dagger to satisfy my flying fix for about 7 years but could not justify expense and fly passion faded. More than happy with freedom granted via motorhome on my own schedule and no crowds nor intrusive searches. Works for me—maybe you ?
I was considering a motor home for retirement pre-covid. Since covid hit my situation has changed and I have lost most of my desire to travel. If I can't drive there in about 8-10 hours, I'll pass.
