On Friday’s broadcast of MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” White House National Security Communications Adviser John Kirby stated that Hamas doesn’t care about the Palestinian people and if they did, “they’d lay down their arms, they’d step aside, they’d release those hostages,” but they’ve refused hostage release offers. Kirby also stated that there have been too many civilians killed in Gaza and the number of civilian casualties “needs to be zero.”

If Hamas laid down their arms and made a promise to not hit Israel again and kept the promise, there would be lasting peace.
If Israel laid down their arms and wouldn’t attack Hamas, Israel would be annihilated within a week.

A statement like this is so utterly stupid and out of reality they display a complete lack of intelligence about war.

Here they are blaming Israel for doing exactly what we did in WWII, Korea, and Vietnam. We bombed Germany and Japan during WW II hitting civilian industries in both countries. People were killed. We almost leveled North Korea and hammered Hanoi. In WWII, an estamated 55 million service members and civilians died and there were 3 million civilians only in North Korea killed not including military during that event.

Starting on July 14, 1945, U.S. Navy carrier and warships joined U.S. Army B-29’s in direct attacks on the Japanese Home Islands. These direct strikes were aimed at Japanese industry. By the end of July, American forces, assisted by a task force from the Royal Navy, effectively eliminated the Japanese navy, further reducing their already depleted merchant marine And destroyed most of their industry capacity while killing millions.

This is how wars are fought. You can’t surgically remove the bad element in the country so you have to punish the people for making the mistake of allowing them to take over and turn them into safe haven and people tortured and killed as human shields.

You have to make the country want them out. If they don’t, the problem won’t stop until the place is level and you won’t get the bad elemet at that time as they will leave the country as they have done already in Gaza. The head of the snake has fleed while the body keep hitting people.

There was a peace agreement- at least up UNTIL Oct 7- Israel didn’t break the peace agreement- Hamas AND their supporters broke it! They and their supporters and enablers can now Reap the Israeli whirlwind!

I read that our civilian to fighter ratio was 9 to 1 or 6 to 1; Israelis are fighting at 1 or 2 to 1.

Is Biden fighting to set up system like those of the Israelis so that in the future our civilian to fighter casualty rate will be as low as theirs?
