Jimmy Kimmel Calls USA ‘A Filthy and Disgusting Country’ After Trip to Japan: ‘The Whole Country Is Disneyland and We’re Living in Six Flags’ | Video

Most of the time, you're excited to return home after a vacation. That wasn't the case after Jimmy Kimmel's recent trip to Japan with his family.

"After traveling to Japan, I realize that this place, this USA we're always chanting about, is a filthy and disgusting country," the host said on Monday night's "Jimmy Kimmel Live."

The ABC host admitted that before spending seven days in Japan, he believed America was a country that had its faults and "areas for improvement," but that it was "pretty buttoned up" compared to the rest of the world.

"I go to Europe, and there are dirt holes where plumbing is supposed to be. I hold my breath, and I go, 'I'm glad I'm not one of these people,' and then I go back home," Kimmel explained. That wasn't the case when it came to the Land of the Rising Sun.

"It's like the whole country is Disneyland and we're living at Six Flags," Kimmel said. "I've been home 36 hours, I have never felt dirtier. We are like hogs compared to the Japanese. I can't imagine what they must think of us. 'Oh, the garbage people. Yes, the Americans. Garbage.'"

The late-night host said that he didn't encounter a single dirty bathroom during his time in the country.

Did he price out a 15,000 square foot mansion like he and his friends live in?

If you’re well travelled you know how bad the US is now.

The Democrats have succeeded in taking this country down to the level of the lowest common denominator. Starting with crime, it was "racist" to have Blacks incarcerated at percentages higher than their population ratio. So when incarceration and our entire legal system shifted from punishing criminals to letting criminals off, well, what do you think happens to a society.

Hangs around bathrooms while on vacation?.....Sounds like a George Michael type vacay.

I doubt Kimmel ever steps outside the city limits of Los Angeles or New York, so his surprise over the condition of Tokyo is understandable.

jimmy fallon and jimmy kimmel switched shows for April Fool’s day...

Fallon received a standing ovation for taking kimmel’s place... kimmel, not so much... people actually left thinking they were in the wrong theatre.

All of a sudden Kimmel doesn’t like what he sees what the liberals are doing to the country and he’s one of them.

And how many blacks or illegals did he come across in Japan? Asking for a friend.

There is something to say for a mostly homogeneous population.

I think Kimmel would find similar environments in some of the Nordic countries.

Jimmy should go to Singapore where it is REALLY nice.

The other day there was a thread about the pros and cons of living in Singapore vs. New York City.

And there were people actually praising New York even though there is less safety, security and freedom there.

Kimmel doesn't understand what happened.

Funny, Kimmel probably didn’t note that Japan has zero minorities. They’re the trash in society.

Didn’t used to be. But now, yes, it generally is. Much of it has to do with becoming ‘diversified’ with inferior cultures that tend to trash their environments.

”Funny, Kimmel probably didn’t note that Japan has zero minorities. “

About thirty years ago my wife and I hosted two Japanese high school girls for about four weeks. One day at dinner they asked us if we could tell the difference between their accents. ( No way)

One of the girls father was a banker. The other’s worked with animals; poultry I think. Turns out Japanese look down on people who make a living off animals.

Evidently, if a culture lacks minorities, they find a way to create them.

That’s a lingering prejudice rooted in Buddhism. The one who works with animals is Burakumin (Also known as eta or hinin. I am told that these terms are so derogatory as to be the equivalent of the N word.). It means something like ‘those of abundant filth’! Originally people who were executioners, undertakers, slaughterhouse workers, butchers, and tanners any job where blood, offal etc. might be present. They and their descendants were discriminated against, much less so now. Certain family names carry that stigma.
