“I have woodpeckers a male and female who show daily for peanuts. “

Are they in the shell?

The woodpeckers are my favorites and lucky me they live in the old trees outside my windows.

Everything seems to be well here. This past week the boys’ school was out for spring break, but starting on Thursday our neighbor hosted a retreat for the elementary section of that school, a 72-hour retreat. They sang and danced and played game and preached over a loud speaker for ALL of the 72 hours. They finished after the dinner hour on Easter. FWIW, our boys opted OUT of the activity.

About 4 AM on Easter - still dark - a church toward the bottom of the hill we live on, began shooting off fireworks. Other churches gather flashlights and banners paraded around and sang throughout the town, all in the pre-dawn hours. They were noisy.

Monday, April 1, was also a holiday: Easter II. One day isn’t considered enough. There is a Christmas Day and then Christmas Day II. There is Easter and Easter II. Next week, the other religion will be celebrating either two or three days; there is some confusion.

Today, there was a demonstration on the main road protesting perceived injustices against indigenous peoples. I didn’t go near that area and I understand things have settled down as the protest moved closer to the capital. IOW, business as usual.

Well isn’t that funny you should tell me about that, Dolly. My friends from the lake came out to the farm for dinner last year, and they had been out to the garage sales that morning, saw two big bags of all kinds of yarns, and bought them for me.......for $5! Lol they paid $5, they didn’t charge me lol. I think it was likely similar circumstances. I’ve used a couple of the colors for some contrasting patterns, as there weren’t enough of one color to do anything large.

Gee, I guess one day someone will be getting rid of my leftover wool collection.

Birds are SO industrious!

I have a collection of ‘fallen’ nests (I would NEVER disturb one!) and have Wren nests that have my (now deceased) Black Lab’s (Cinder) fur woven in.

I have found nests here at ‘the new farm’ that have hair and mane hair from our mule, Ithaca, woven in, and I have a number of nests that have orange baler twine woven in.

I’m waiting for an Oriole nest to fall from our big Maple in the house yard. That one has a LOT of baler twine in it and some things I can’t identify until I have it in my hands.

Nature Always Wins - no matter what we throw at her. :)

Oh, no! He will never go away as long as he is alive or until we’ve moved permanently away. He doesn’t appear every day. But, he has pestered us for 30 years, he won’t quit.

Additional details on the assassination of the Lebanese and Syrian commander in the Iranian Revolutionary Guards attributed to Israel:

- The attack was not carried out in the building of the Iranian embassy, but in a building adjacent to the embassy that served as the military headquarters of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards. In other words, whoever damaged that building probably had accurate information about military activity that was going on there.

- All those killed in the attack are Iranian military personnel, who carried out military activity there for a long period of time. No Iranian diplomats were injured in the attack.

- The senior General who was eliminated, was responsible for all Iranian terrorist targeting in Israeli territory from all arenas - both Lebanon, Syria and the Palestinian arena. He was in fact the most senior member of the Quds Force who commanded the entire operation to attack Israel through emissaries from various ships. His main concern was terrorism on the territory of Israel itself, while Quds Force Commander Qaani deals with Iranian terrorism from a global perspective.

- It can be estimated that the assassination was carried out regardless of the UAV attack tonight in Eilat, but as a direct message to Iran about all its actions since October 7.

The BRICS (approx 87 nations or roughly 75 percent of the world’s population) is shifting to a gold backed globalist economy away from the U.S. backed Petro dollar. This is an existential threat to the United States and it is all happening because of the weak feckless leaders we have in the White House and Congress.
