The executive director of the Little Rock airport who was shot by federal agents serving a search warrant at his home earlier this week has died.
A statement from the Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport announced the death of Bryan Malinowski at noon Thursday.
The statement from Bill Walker, chair of the Little Rock Municipal Airport Commission, noted that under Malinowski’s leadership the airport saw “significant growth and success” and offered condolences to Malinowski’s family.
“With a heavy heart, we announce the passing of our executive director Bryan Malinowski. Bryan was a 16-year employee of the airport. Under his leadership, our airport has experienced significant growth and success, expanding services and offerings to our community and state. We extend our heartfelt condolences to Bryan’s wife, Maer, loved ones and friends.”

Malinowski was shot during an exchange of gunfire with agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives Tuesday morning.
ATF officials said the agents were serving a search warrant at Malinowski’s west Little Rock home around 6 a.m. when the shootout happened. Federal officials said that Malinowski shot first from inside the home, at which point agents returned fire, hitting Malinowski multiple times.

“They didn’t want him, they wanted something he had in the house.............”
Could have asked him but that’s not as much fun as killing the poor bastard at 6 am.
There were serving a search warrant, not an arrest warrant.
this was a government execution
What happened to “The 5 O’clock Knock”? That was a thing with the NKVD. Maybe it was daylight savings? Someone should tell them Russia stopped daylight savings in 2014.
I get that. Why not go to him at his work, collect him and detain him while they search his house?
To execute a search warrant, they do not need to, nor have the right to detain him, unless he is at the location being searched.
They knock on the door, show a warrant to whoever answers, and conduct the search. It can be calm and polite. If nobody is home, they may force entry and search.
Murder!
Shades of Ruby Ridge! The poor man probably thought it was a home invasion”!
Surprised these worthless thugs could get up early enough to go kill an innocent man! Did they leave any witnesses or did they wipe out the whole family?
Another brutal murder committed at 6:00 am.
ATF had to raid the guy’s home? They know where the guy worked, they couldn’t go there and arrest him? Something about this stinks to high heaven.

Actually I agree with you very often on FR. Most often in fact.
Just when you want war and (my kids’) money for some shithole - and only because it’s dumb and wrong.
At least when Biden’s goons raided Mar-a-Lago, they did it when Trump wasn’t there. Maybe they decided shooting a former President would be a little hard for the media to justify.
As serpent-head Carville would say, it was a wet job.
Last I heard, having a “cache” (collection) is legal. Also, that really goes against the need for an urgent infantry assault. Is he going to flush a U-Haul full of guns?
Sounds like he had a hobby collection. But say he was a crook, and selling them illegally. Ok, ring the doorbell, when he answers show him a warrant, search him, arrest if necessary. If he resists when you are talking to him at the door, then shoot him.
But I just can’t get past, asleep in bed, someone crashes into your front door and runs in screaming at you.
I read a book that was similar to this. It was called “Unintended Consequences”. A botched ATF raid features heavily in it.
knock knock
who’s there?
BANG BANG BANG BANG BANG
Federal Agents with a warrant.
Must be a Republican.
That’s why a simple polite knock at the door was all that was needed. And sounds like they were searching for illegal guns of some such... he can’t flush those. There was no need to hit with an assault force, or to do it at 6am.
That is reserved for when they guy has a criminal background that indicates a violent path and probable violent resistance. If he responds to the door in a psycho angry way, back off and THEN go the SWAT route with time on your side.
This was amateur and unprofessional.
Arkancided men don’t talk.
It is until they find what they wanted from the house. I’m guessing this guy didn’t matter as much. Alive or dead unless he was the dime dropping type.
Not reported
Did you find out what they wanted to arrest him for? If I saw, I don’t remember.
