Washington Post Columnist Calls on Kamala Harris to Step Aside ‘For the Country’s Sake’

Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker is calling on Vice President Kamala Harris to step aside. The media is terrified of the ticket that they’ve supported for the last three years.

Who exactly do they think is going to come riding in to save them? Michelle Obama has made it clear that she has absolutely no interest in running for office.

Parker’s column is raising quite a few eyebrows.

FOX News reports:

Vice President Harris should ‘step aside’ for good of the country, Washington Post columnist says

Vice President Harris should “step aside,” Washington Post columnist Kathleen Parker wrote on Friday, as she called the vice president’s performance “disappointing,” and warned she’s become a “burden to the Democratic ticket.”

While she said she was pulling for Harris to succeed, Parker argued her performance “has been disappointing.”

“The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security. Now that she has become a burden to the Democratic ticket, Biden can’t fire her. He can’t risk alienating his base. Full stop. The seriousness of this situation can’t be overstated. Biden’s diminishing faculties, notwithstanding his relatively successful State of the Union address, and his increasing physical frailty are concerning,” Parker wrote.

“Whatever the reasons, it has seemed that Harris’s role was to be quiet, lest she embarrass her boss with her sometimes inane, rambling remarks and a laugh that erupts from nowhere about nothing obvious to others,” Parker wrote.

The left is not taking this well.

This Kathleen Parker column calling on VP Harris to step aside isn't exactly being received well on the left… https://t.co/3VfAtOE5bb

There would be serious political risks for Biden no matter what he does. And I’ll bet Jill (and the rest of the old white KKK legacy) is not happy with the prospect of Kamala taking over.

Interesting thought. But I believe they are going to nurse Joe until after the election. She was a token to get votes, only, and has done nothing worth anything since the election. They can’t afford not to keep her in line if Joe goes down until after the election prior to which they can replace her on the ballot. They are more than committed on her at this point, they are stuck with her.

"her" is Kamala or Jill?

...if Joe goes down until after the election prior to which they can replace her on the ballot.

Very complex sentence. I agree with what I think you mean, i.e. "goes down" if Joe dies or strokes out or suddenly quits (yes he promised not to, but who knows) before the election, they might have to promote her. Probably not Hillary, but strange things have happened before.

Jill holds no employment with the federal government and is not in the line to replace the POTUS should he go down. And yes, I’m talking about prior to the election.

“yes he promised not to, but who knows”

That’s funny. How can a guy that is to feeble minded to be prosecuted for NSA violations have any idea if he is going to die today? Hell, he may be already dead he just doesn’t know it yet. We know for sure neck up.

As for replacing the VP, that would have to be done by a balanced vote sitting senate and they can’t do anything right. If thre is no VP due to Kamala resigning, it is 49R/48D/3I at the moment. Without Kamala to vote with a vacant spot, it would be 49/47/3. And that’s just the senate. Whenever there is a vacancy in the office of the Vice President, the President shall nominate a Vice President who shall take office upon confirmation by a majority vote of both Houses of Congress. See that happening?

And if Joe goes down before the election, and the libs get rid of Kamala too soon, the liberals are up a creek most likely.

I hope you are right about what would follow if Kamala resigned: Congress not confirming Biden's nominee. But the House has too many RINOs and seems to be getting weaker. I don't have a great trust in the senate either.

So far the Dems seem to be afraid of having to replace Kamala, and Kamala does not seem ready to quit.
