The Uvalde, Texas, Police Chief Daniel Rodriguez, reportedly submitted his resignation to the city during a meeting Tuesday, which will be effective on April 6, according to reports.

I think he just wanted to have the thing done before he left, so the next guy won’t have to deal with it.
As far as resigning, who wouldn’t? I’m sure the whole thing just makes him sick.
These men were cowards.
The city? In other words, the cops' friends and relatives.
In the military their fate would be:

The ‘city’ should not have been allowed to ‘report’ on incident because it has a financial stake in the outcome. Since it clears the pitiful police performance it will be used as a defense and it therefore self-serving. The investigation and report, if any, should have been conducted by a state LE agency.

Only a dead country could determine this jerk wasn’t liable.
The parents should sue them all in federal court. Bankruptcy sounds fine.
I don’t even see how these cops can show their face around town.
The city is trying to reduce its liabilities in any lawsuits. Just follow the money.

A whole shickenchit SWAT team and it took one BP guy WITH A GUN to end it save lives. Somebody needs that new report that nobody requested shoved up their poop chute.
"The country" did not determine the lack of liability...ONE INVESTIGATOR (who was paid by the city) did so. The "fix" was in from the get-go.
True, I used the term very generally.
“To Protect and to Serve” is not the Uvalde police motto.
“These men were cowards.”
They were told not to go in by their superior.
And they actively hindered anyone else from doing anything constructive until the shooting stopped.
Which was counter to everything that they trained for in their recent active shooter training.
