ATLANTA, Georgia — Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis fought back against allegations about her personal life during a Thursday court hearing on whether she misrepresented her relationship with Nathan Wade, the prosecutor hired as lead lawyer in the Georgia election interference case against former President Donald Trump.
"You're confused. You think I'm on trial," Willis quipped to a defense attorney. "These people are on trial for trying to steal an election in 2020. I'm not on trial, no matter how hard you try to put me on trial."
An attorney for Willis made one last attempt to keep her off the stand this week, but after defense attorney Craig Gillen argued the case "cries out for her testimony."

Most lawyers make terrible witnesses. They don’t know when to shut up.
In closing arguments Trump’s attorney should pound the perjury and fraud angle hard. Trump deserves a fair trial, and attorneys who have consciously engaged in what appears to be multiple acts of perjury and/or fraud are inherently not to be trusted as trial lawyers, and decency requires that both of them be removed immediately. The appearance of willful criminal conduct requires it! I agree that the judge will probably punt, but it’s going to be hard for him to justify leniency upon appellate review of the trial transcript.
Defense attorneys dislike it when cops take the stand. All they get is yes, no, or I don't recall. The more Willis talks, the more issues she raises which require investigation and more cross examination. Trump's attorneys need to keep drilling her and get her to explode.
She is so stupid she dies not understand... that... she is on trial and in a compromised position.
She has unlimited cash on hand but no way to prove how she got it.
I would say she is ripe for a swat or FBI raid and her money taken away.
