President Joe Biden took to the microphone for an unannounced address on Thursday night, following the release of the politically devastating Special Counsel report that said he "willfully retained and disclosed classified materials after his vice presidency when he was a private citizen." While the report stated that such actions "present serious risks to national security,” Biden will not face charges because he presents himself as an “elderly man with a poor memory” and it would be difficult to convince a jury he is guilty of a serious felony because to commit such a crime “requires a mental state of willfulness.” The report elaborated by pointing out he couldn’t even remember when he was vice president and didn’t even remember when his son Beau died.
The address was scheduled for 7:45 p.m. but did not actually get underway until around 8 — well past his usual 7 p.m. bedtime.
I can't explain how or why Biden's handlers felt it was a good idea to trot him out at night to talk about the special counsel report, but it did not go well. He was belligerent and defensive, and it was a terrible look. When he addressed the report claiming that he couldn't remember when his son died, it really got bad.
"How in the hell dare he raise that," Biden said angrily, concluding that it is "none of their damn business."
"For any extraneous commentary, they don't know what they're talking about," Biden insisted, even though the report presented direct quotes. "It has no place in this report."
Biden also blamed his staff for storing classified documents in his home, office, and garage, insisting, "I take responsibility for not having seen exactly what my staff would do!"

He admitted in his comments tonight he took classified documents in the 1970s, when he wasn’t a confused old man.
Did anybody else catch that? He admitted he took classified documents when he was a young senator, which was/is illegal.

That way your version of events appears in the next day’s news.
Of course in this age of the Internet “quickly” means really immediately—which also means that prep work suffers and more mistakes happen.

He’ll be put in a strait jacket on the way to the Funny Farm. He will fight it, IMO.
The biggest mystery is why did the Biden cabal do it? What made them calculate that it was better to take the risk of rolling ol’ demented Joe out there when the chances of him pouring gasoline on the fire was so great? Something behind the scenes was happening this afternoon to force them to take such a risky move quickly and without preparation.
I suspect Joe was badly bleeding support from his own party, people who decided they don’t want to go down with the ship.
This is effing horrifying.

What Biden did was willful, Hur wrote, but unlike what he said, "a serious felony requires a mental state of willfulness" when the act is committed, not when he stands trial for it.

So how do we then permit him to remain in the most important office in the world in charge of a huge military and nukes?
Joe got pissed, and could not be stopped. Ugly, and damaging for our nation. Imagine what our geopolitical foes are thinking right now. If one had been waiting for a good opportunity to SERIOUSLY stir the pot, this would be it.
He looks embalmed.
His condition today is irrelevant.
His condition when he committed the crime is.
If he was cogent then, then he’s guilty.
It doesnt matter if he cant remember it. He did it. A lack of memory doesn’t absolve responsibility.
