It will be coming back for another vote later this week and will pass. Scalise couldn’t vote due to cancer treatments and one of the no votes did so only for procedural reasons to allow the future revote. So barring a Republican wanting to commit political suicide it will pass.

“Does it really matter? How do you think his replacement would be?”
Impeachment is not removal. It would take the Senate to do that.

The creation of DHS was a horrible idea from the very beginning. It quickly became just as many predicted just another Crony Reward position in government that we did not even need. Thanks to El Presidente Smirking Chimp.

I thought Stefanik was GOP Majority Whip now...

Republicans conveniently waited for fmr CONGRESSMANJohnson going to YSU as university president and the fmr congressman from NY’s expulsion.

It hardly matters. Senate was never going to remove Mayorkas.
To: JZelle
It was all kabuki theater anyway. You’re correct, his replacement would continue to follow Biden’s handler’s orders.

Our culture, national ethos and demographics have already changed in profound ways so things are going to be a lot different going forward IMO. It reminds one of the disgraceful way our troops were treated on arriving back from Viet Nam. Our culture and national ethos had been so damaged at every level by the American Left and the international left that we spit on our returning troops.
Those who did the spiting for the most part will likely continue to vote for Dems.

Say what you will about Pelosi (and people here certainly do), but she would never have let herself or her party be humiliated like this.

“This just looks stupid.”
That’s because it WAS stupid.
Mayorkas is not the problem.
It was like a bunch of HS girls trying to make a statement.
A damn embarrassment.

It is just failure after failure after failure.
And for everyone saying "We need to run those RINOS out of the party"....that's how we got here in the first place.

Correct. We’re not coming back. Demographics alone assure that.

“Johnson should have gotten his ducks in a row before calling for a vote.”
Bannon said something like this will be the end of Johnson. Who knows?

Johnson's speakership is shaping up to be a complete failure. Aside from the Mayorkas impeachment debacle, the stand-alone Israeli aid package went down 250-180 this evening
These are not serious people

Disappointment because I didn't expect McClintock to be the kind of person who didn't vote to impeach because it would nowhere in the Senate.
He was never one to avoid voting against the wind.
