Republicans are challenging extended mail ballot deadlines in at least two states in a legal maneuver that could have widespread implications for mail voting ahead of this year's presidential election.
A lawsuit filed last week in Mississippi follows a similar one last year in North Dakota, both brought in heavily Republican states before conservative federal courts. Democratic and voting rights groups are concerned about the potential impact beyond those two states if a judge rules that deadlines for receiving mailed ballots that stretch past Election Day violate federal law.
They say it's possible such a decision would lead to a nationwide injunction similar to one last year when a Texas judge temporarily paused the FDA’s approval of the abortion pill mifepristone.

But the Democrats ALWAYS want voting AFTER they know how many votes they need.
It was the far left turd rollers that “upended” it. It’s the GOP who is trying to turn it back the way it is supposed to be.
Yeh....funny how that works...
IF you are loyal to our former republic...
Do not vote by mail.
Do not vote early.
People who vote by mail and vote early help Deep State figure out how much it needs to steal and avoid a recount.
Drivel.......
Voting early accomplishes many real and substantive goals. The early voting is accomplished with procedures no different than on election day.
Repukes are horrible. Youve had from 2024 but they try to rush through court claims in 2024 like a child who forgot to do his homework
That’s the trick to stealing an election 2020 Insurrectionist Turd Roller Style. Find out how many votes you need to win. Make that many ballots and throw them in the pot. Once they are “counted” and you win, stop all voting and counting immediately.
They need to also require voter roll clean up. My daughter moved out of state 2 years ago and is still receiving mail in ballots from election office.
They sell this by saying it affects poor dumb minorities and self-loathing whites fall for it. It is only an excuse to add more votes to the actual result. Everyone knows that, but somehow they still manage to sell the racial angle. Blacks seem to get up in the air any time the media tells them “de white man keepin’ him down’. Liberal whites are terrified of rioting blacks, so they acquiesce without fail. It’s like clockwork. It’s been known for a long time.
I missed voting in the 2022 primary because I was sick that day and it was raining and cold
I will never let that happen again
I can’t stand in long lines. Getting a chance to sit on a firetruck bumper for 2 minutes while in a 1-hour long line at the polls doesn’t cut it anymore
I’m voting early this year at my county courthouse
I love the totally non-partisan way the AP writes the story.
Do I need the S tag? Nah!
“Voting early accomplishes many real and substantive goals. The early voting is accomplished with procedures no different than on election day.”
I have voted early 2 or 3 times, the process was the same as election day.
Me too, but I guess I'll have to vote 5-6 times this cycle {as we really need to win}.
I guess the fibbies will be calling me in for a IRS revue after that last crack {it was a joke...really, a bad joke but still a joke}.
Please remember if you are in states like Oregon you cannot vote in the primary if you are registered non affiliated
You must change your registration to republican if you want to vote for Trump.
Never mail the ballot. Take it to your county clerk.

The three communists who wrote this crap ask themselves a rhetorical question in the headline. How quaint.
Like most Democrats? LOL /sarc
Difference is the Democrats do it 2 or 3 times every election.
Ping
Trump could put an end to this without breaking a sweat. In those states that unconstitutionally allow late mail in ballots Trump should loudly and publicly instruct his smelly, deplorable MAGA extremists to wait until the very latest to submit their ballots, even if that is after election day.
Policies will change overnight.
