“Where’s the Women’s March? Feminist Majority? The National Women’s Studies Association?”
Those are the questions recently posed by Katha Pollitt, a feminist columnist for the far-left magazine the Nation. Pollitt was wondering why the Left was not loudly condemning the rape and murder of Israeli women during the Hamas terrorist attack on Oct. 7.
Pollitt is a smart writer and knows well the answer: The Left is tyrannical and antisemitic. It only cares about power. Its religion is to embrace whatever “revolutionary” movement breeds resentment and hatred of the West, including terrorists. It will run anyone over to attain its goals. This includes women.
Still, Pollitt is incredulous at the silence of her comrades.“On October 7,” she wrote, “Hamas fighters raped Israeli women and girls. Whatever may have been unknown in the immediate aftermath of the attack, the rapes are by now as substantiated as anything ever can be in an ongoing war.” Yet her fellow liberals are silent. “This silence sits oddly with how quick our movement has been to credit much iffier claims and to raise consciousness around sexual misconduct that falls far short of rape. What happened to the clarion call to believe women? What happened to #MeToo?”
What happened is #MeToo got sacrificed to politics. Author Kat Rosenfield, like Pollitt, no conservative, was blunt in a post addressing this on X: “I’m struggling to understand how, in five short years, we went from ‘this reference to boofing in Brett Kavanaugh's HS yearbook proves he is an unrepentant rapist’ to ‘idk guys the half-naked corpse with grievous pelvic injuries could have been like that when Hamas got there.’”

“Believe all women!”
Unless they’re Jews.
Or Republicans.
L
Hypocrisy is the hallmark of the Left.
I am convinced that you could put a bunch of leftists in a room and show them 10 stories from a right-leaning news outlet, and the leftists in that room would take the opposite position on all 10 issues, no matter what they were.
These people are reactionaries. They have no compass.
They are haters. Whatever your average, law-abiding, tax-paying, constitution-respecting, patriotic american citizen is for, they are against, and will instantly hate with loathing vitriol.
Don’t forget “Me Too” s/
“The Means justifies the End.” Simple. Easy Peasy.
No Moral Reasoning. No Critical Thinking. Complete lack of real empathy and compassion. Stone Cold Heart
Their only principle is power.
Thirty plus years ago they turned workplaces into humorless hellholes by eliminating innocent joking and flirtation and making men sweat most encounters with their female co-workers. “Me too” was a long time after Anita Hill, but who knows history?
Feminism is and has been a scourge, but looking at the girls in these pictures, it’s hard to see why anyone would find them attractive as friends or anything else. It’s very sad.
“making men sweat most encounters with their female co-workers”
************
I once worked with a guy who got into hot water over a completely innocent remark to a female colleague with a hair trigger reactive personality. The incident eventually blew over but it created an unhealthy tension in the office for a long time.
The issue is never the issue.
The issue is always the Revolution.
I knew a guy that reported a woman in the workplace for chicanery on the quiet, and told his boss. “I don’t want to make trouble. just let you know what’s going on.”
So the boss called her in and crapped all over the poor guy, and this woman went right after him. She left the office for two weeks to file sexual harassment, but the dude was an ace at documentation and saw it coming. It was the late nineties and fair officials at corporate ruled against her. Even then she set about trying to find a lawyer. She charged him with hugging her at Christmas.
Never saw any stories on people falsely accused or similarly tormented. Wonder why that is.
I think I’ve experienced some of that.
Sometimes I talk to some people who are more liberal, and if I say I heard something on Hannity’s program, then the reaction is ,oh well Sean Hannity is not credible.
I’ve had the same reaction if I mentioned I heard something on Dennis Prager’s program. Then people will start criticizing Dennis Prager, and have no comment about what it was Dennis Prager was talking about. Instead people will talk about how Dennis Prager is not credible because he is conservative.
I think some of these people take the position that anybody on Fox news or anybody on talk radio must be disregarded. Unless they hear it from somebody like Rachel Maddow they just don’t believe it.
