Well, another year, another Christmas Eve. I’ll be home alone with my faithful greyhound, sipping vino and watching George Bailey learn how wonderful life is, which has been my tradition for about 15 years now. Anyone else going it solo tonight?

Sitting at home with my little kitteh companion watching Christmas videos. I see my family tomorrow. I’m not afraid of being alone anymore. In fact it has brought me a great deal of clarity in the last few years.

Merry Christmas! Same boat. Me, “Die Hard”, alcohol, and two standard poodles. Same tomorrow. Went to church and had a great service and from there is solitary. FR is good Rx though.
There’s some of us over on the current incarnation of The Undead Thread who “play golf” using daily Wordle scores as our stroke count for each hole. You’re welcome to join us as a daily diversion.
The PGA Tour will be at PGA West Pete Dye Stadium Course at LaQuinta.
We plan to join them for 7300 yards of par 72 golf startingon the 1st tee January 9th.

Well, I never quite fit into my own family so you have my sympathies. As to my siblings families? No worse, I suppose. I am afflicted with the “long view” of human history as I am a scholar of history, sociology, anthropology, theology, etc. I have come to the realization that the sets and costumes change, but the play remains the same.

I wish...we have 17 family here. All I want to do is have some drinks, eat and go to bed with my dog curled up at my feet. Bah humbug! And insult to injury, there’s rheindeer crap all over my roof!
