The United Nations on Tuesday demanded an immediate humanitarian ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas war after more than three-quarters of the 193-member General Assembly backed the move, which had been vetoed by the United States in the Security Council last week.
Washington does not have a veto in the General Assembly. It voted against the draft resolution, along with Israel and eight other countries. The text garnered 153 votes in favor, while 23 countries abstained from the vote.

If only the Nazi’s had tried this ploy, oh wait...
It’s many times more humanitarian to eliminate Hamas and all terrorism from the planet.
Israel is teaching the world how it’s done.
And their thoughts about the Russian invasion of Ukraine?
We really need to get out of the U.N. kick them out of our country, level the building and put something useful there. A park would be nice.
Turn it into Trump World Centre II.
Suck the big one UN. If you could see me I am flipping you the bird with both hands as type this.
Gulf, Foxtrot, Yankee..........
I finally agree with the UN for once. Netanyahu is leading Israel to ruin. There’s gonna be a major push for BDS when this is over. The Israel firsters on here are insane and seem to have a very superficial understanding of the consequences likely to result from all this and things are only going to get worse. If it was only Israel doing this by itself that would be one thing, but the US’s blind support of them makes us complicit and its going to have negative consequences for our foreign policy going forward.
So what would you have Israel do?
B.S.
I understand Israel has a tough situation trying to take out Hamas, but this indiscriminate bombing of civilians is making much of the world hate them. I know many Republicans blindly support Israel no matter what, but when a friend is engaging in self destructive behavior you need to pull them aside and explain to them they are taking the wrong path. I think Oct 7 so traumatized them they just want vengeance now and don’t care how many innocent civilians they kill in the process, but this strategy is going to screw them in the long term. I realize nobody on this forum believes me, but just watch how this plays out. Not going to be good for Israel.
Demands... LOL
The U.N. with a demand in one hand, must have a roll of
toilet paper close by.
SSssssoooo....
...the bloody Hamas massacre of over 1200 Israelis doesn’t evoke any UN demand that Hamas observe any sort of “ceasefire”...
Several hundred slaughtered Israelis are no reason for Islamists to be admonished by the fekking UN, but they’ll crow like Hell if Israel damages a few jihadis beyond repair in the process of stopping the threat.
The ENTIRE UN can all rot in Hell.
HERE’S some perspective utterly foreign to anyone at the UN or the U.S. State Dept.:

Speaking before the vote, Israel’s Ambassador to the United Nations, Gilad Erdan, clarified, “What would your countries do if you were in Israel’s shoes? Call for a ceasefire? What would Moscow do? Beijing? Istanbul? How would you respond? Everyone here knows exactly.”
The Ambassador presented a poster with the phone number for the Hamas office in Gaza and said, “…I have an idea: if you want a real ceasefire, here is the right address. This is the phone number of Hamas’ office in Gaza. You can all call +970-599-373765 and ask for Yahya Sinwar. Tell Hamas to put down their arms, turn themselves in, and return our hostages. This will bring a complete ceasefire that will last forever! So, why are you not doing this? Why are you not holding Hamas accountable?”
Ambassador Erdan also said, “No piece of paper – especially one that is adopted by a biased politicized majority – will prevent Israel from defending itself against those that seek our destruction. Israel is fighting a war for her future! There is not a single Member State here, not a single Member State here, that would act differently in a similar situation. A ceasefire only serves to prolong Hamas’ reign of terror so I urge all Member States to vote against this resolution.”
Note that the UN globalist whores did not demand the release of the civilian hostages.
For two words for the UN. The first one starts with an F and the second one ends in a U
When the UN investigates and clean house on all of its agencies supporting Hamas military activities, then they can speak up. Until then STFU.
