Troy Denning has made a living imagining fantastical plots as a prolific writer of science fiction with numerous Star Wars tomes under his belt.
He's now envisioning a real-life storyline about a disturbance in the electoral force, in which millions of Democrats vote in Republican primary contests in a mission to stop Donald Trump. Denning is himself grappling with whether to drift to the other side. To join a rebel alliance, if you will, with non-Trump Republicans to help one of the other candidates win the primary in his home state of Wisconsin.
"Nikki Haley is somebody I would never vote for in the general," Denning said in an interview, referring to the former UN ambassador and South Carolina governor. "But if I have to end up having her as my president, I would feel a lot safer than I would if Donald Trump is my president."
Denning is a political moderate who voted decades ago for Ronald Reagan and George Bush Sr. He's now keen on seeing the Republicans nominate either Haley or Chris Christie, former governor of New Jersey.
But his literary vocation is appropriate for this moment. The idea of stopping Trump — at this point, especially in the primaries — is beginning to resemble science-fiction.

“Actually I live in NH and Biden won’t be on the ballot. How about RFK? isn’t turnabout fair play?”
Personally I couldn’t stomach ever voting for ANY Democrat. I’m one state over from you in MA and I’ll be voting for Trump in March.
They just thought of this? Hardly. The Dems have been crossing over in every state that has an open primary.
This is Rush's Operation Chaos!!
To stop Obammy.
Thanks for the clarification.
That’s called cheating but we all know the rats have no problem with cheating, lying, and stealing. In other words they are self-described dishonest scumbags.
I’d think it more likely that Democrats would cross party lines and vote FOR Trump. He’s their dream candidate.
That’s how Claire McCaskill became the Democrat nominee for governor of Missouri. Even though she lost, it set her up to be the nominee and winner of a Missouri US Senate seat.
It happened because a wave of Republican voters crossed over to vote against Bob Holden in the Democrat primary. Holden would never have won the general election so it was a useless gesture with the unintended consequence of elevating McCaskill to the national stage.
In order to effectively challenge Trump, they would have to get behind one candidate. Not likely. Because once it’s known that a GOP candidate has substantial democrat support, they will lose any remaining support among republicans.
Read Tagline to once again confirm its accuracy.
I bet Troy Denning can’t elaborate on why President Trump is so dangerous. Dangerous to whom? Perhaps the Obamanoids who are intent on taking this country down...
A so-called journalistic news agency, telling folks how to stop a particular candidate.
Let that settle in.
CORRECT
George Washington was a military man; naturally the military is not organized along the lines of partisan politics, it likes a unified command. Yet even George Washington favored a strong central government, along with Alexander Hamilton. During the Washington presidency there was such awesome respect for his authority and constancy that no real opposition manifested.
As soon as John Adams took office the partisan politics quickly showed up - and it has been the same every since. Even now the Demo'Rats say that we can have unity and comity if we would just do things their way. It was that attitude of the 'Rats that led to the 'civil war.'
In my personal dictionary I call 'politics' the science of compromise. Like it or not, history has repeatedly proven these truths.
Political races today cost $millions; the presidential campaigns spend upwards of a $billion. One needs organization to raise such money. OTOH, while I think this is a corruptible system, I am NOT in favor of publicly funded political campaigns. Let the people speak! {Note: it is this last principle that both parties are shying away from.}
The GA state bureaucracy is FIRMLY in the hands of the GROPElite and Kemp-Ratsenberger (Sec of State who rammed through the 7,000 vote majority of Biden paper ballots in 2020 and the subsequent two GA Senate votes for the democrats.
Kemp is the future GROPElite Bush-Rove-Romney-Cheney type.
Going in to vote for the republican primary in 2022 that would anchor both Kemp and Rats positions as GROPElite nominees, we were given 6 different warnings and reminders that ANYBODY could vote in EITHER PART’S PRIMARY. An open reminder to the democrats to vote for the republican the democrats want in power.
It doesn’t matter because democrats rig their primaries and nomination process too. Even if RFK won the primaries, they’d find a way to kick him to the curb.
