It wasn't police violence — it was a homeless California woman, authorities say.
Michael Latt, a 33-year-old Hollywood consultant and activist known for promoting social justice causes, died Monday after 36-year-old Jameelah Elena Michl allegedly broke into his home and allegedly shot him in the head, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Michl was allegedly stalking another woman and targeted Latt because he was her friend, Los Angeles District Attorney George Gascon's office revealed Thursday.
She allegedly knocked on the door, forced her way through when the occupants answered, and gunned down Latt with a semiautomatic handgun in his $800,000 one-bedroom apartment in the Mid-Wilshire neighborhood around 6 p.m. Monday.

I’ll tell you what’s outrageous here: an $800K one bedroom apartment.
And not a single right-wing individual was responsible for any of those deaths. No matter how hard they try to make MAGA out as violent, the numbers do not support their claims.
Since it’s a social “justice warrior”, I suppose Gascon MAY prosecute and ask for life instead of time served. But, Latt was a white male.....I don’t know?
No one on the Left wants to have an honest discussion on black violence.
“his $800,000 one-bedroom apartment”
Social justice warrior.
Looks like they all died doing what they love.
“It seems to infer that we all share the guilt.”
Several weeks ago, Obama said we were all complicit to some degree in the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Liberalism lives and thrives on the idea of collective guilt.
Round and round
What goes around, comes around
I’ll tell you why?
(But they never do tell us why)
I wonder if there was a fleeting thought of
“Wow — I spent my life being a stupid s-—t!”
as the wokesters were getting raped, stabbed, shot, or dragged?
Wonder if any were wearing a BLM shirt when they died?
But they knew from the beginning . . .
We extend our deepest condolences to the family and friends of the victim during this incredibly difficult time. The violence that has taken place is not only an affront to the values we hold dear but also a stark reminder of the need to address the broader issues that contribute to such heartbreaking incidents.
As we mourn the loss of this bright soul, let us come together as a community to denounce violence and recommit ourselves to the principles of justice, equality, and compassion. The pursuit of equity in the criminal legal system remains a steadfast goal, and we will continue our efforts to create a society where every individual is treated with dignity and fairness.”
He lived in an $800,000 apartment. He wasn’t “fighting for a more just society.” His parents are loaded and one of them works in the entertainment field. That’s the main reason Gascon’s “heart aches” and he’s actually going to prosecute this crime.
Very few feel comfortable having a discussion like that.
They were all Left-wing activists so it wasn’t actually senseless...
I’m over it. I could have it any time.
“Liberalism lives and thrives on the idea of collective guilt.”
It has to. The notion of PERSONAL responsibility is anathema to the Left.
At center.
