While Disney+ remains a competitor against Netflix, Max, Amazon Prime Video, and others, it also turns out that the streaming platform is actually losing the company hundreds of millions of dollars. Disney’s recent earnings report showed that its current attempts to corner the streaming market have been utterly failing, even as it increasingly jacks up subscription prices and deletes original content.
In a call to analysts, Iger revealed that beginning in December, the new service will be beta-tested as a combined app with Hulu, with both apps to be permanently replaced in March of 2024 (per Deadline). According to him, parents will need to be prepared for this because the Hulu catalog is basically full of programming not intended for children, unlike the deliberately family-friendly original app.

This must be fake news. Trump supports groomer Disney. He called desanctis out on his error.
What is Disney? The Disney i grew up with doesn’t exist anymore.
Failure begins at woke. Changing life long characters into gay and transgender freakazoids will do this, nice try
They haven’t come close to “using up” 60 years of comics.
They just stopped focusing on the market for super hero movies — teen boys and thinking people want to see two nasty unpleasant ugly lesbians and a fat ugly muslim girl as a super hero team — aka thr Marvels.
Not what I’d volunteer to watch as a kid.
There aren’t 60 years of good stories. Most comic books, unless they’ve been planning a story for years on end, tend to be crap. There are only two big stories in Marvel, that I’m aware of, that they haven’t touched on. The House of M and The Secret Wars. However, they’ve used up everything else.
You’re right that they went to the left, whether or not their fanbase wanted it.
I’m personally all Marveled out because of what they’ve done.
It costs between &6.99 nd $7.99/month but the movies the sell ae $5 over other priced movie on other streaming venues. Plus I’d imagine that most of the free stuff is their woke PoC hero/heroine stuff of late.
Maybe they aren't WOKE enough!
Maybe they should double-down like Bud-Light did!
I stream Starz, Pluto (free), and Peacock ($59 a year) plus a couple of the free conservative media like Right Side, Newsmax, Burrow plus other free services on Roku. No MAX or Disney. If my husband could navigate the Roku, I’d cut the cord on DirecTV.
Don’t forget Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom.
The ironic thing is Disney used to make billions licensing out their content to Netlfix. But they tried to do it themselves and instead have been losing billions.
Get lost troll

So, they’re replacing HULU too?
But then there was Lawrence Welk. The only part I could stand was when Bobby and Cissy danced.
In 1967, Cissy became Bobby Burgess’s dance partner on The Lawrence Welk Show when his first partner, Barbara Boylan, left to get married. For the next dozen years, she became one of the most popular performers on the show with her vivacious personality, singing talents and her natural dance moves.
What a hottie
They have a huge catalog of classicshows that they refuse to put on the streaming network. They actually have material people want to watch, just refuse to make it available.
Not so plus eh?
Subscribed to Disney+ to watch “The Mandalorian” with my grandsons. Then they got rid of Gina Carano because of her conservative views. We were entertained by that one season and let the subscription go.
I downloaded a copy of “Song of the South”. (not a very good copy, but it has disappeared from devilmouse)
Disney does own a large stake in hulu
I have “Roku TV” and what I like about it, is that, using an antenna, the Roku TV integrates channels from Pluto TV, and other sites, into one list of channels to surf through.
I pick the channels I want to see, and I don’t have to surf through a bunch of channels I don’t want to watch.
