Israel is now fighting a war for survival. Israel has been in this same position for most of its 75-year existence. It hasn't been fighting that whole time, but the threat to its existence has been there for pretty much every minute of every day of every year since formation of the country.
How, in the name of Heaven, can we spend so much press and opinion on what we "think" about that. How can we even imagine the Israeli leadership cares what we think.
Israeli leadership probably cares what kind of support they are likely to get from our feckless politicians and our powerful, but timid military. They certainly don't care what we "think".
The fight- for home, for family, for faith, for decency is real. This opinion crap on our TV and computer screens is a massive diversion. When people are being shot and killed and subject to the most revolting brutality, they surely don't have too much interest in opinion polls in distant countries.
Spare me from our Mainstream Media.
The media is all in for Hamas to have a ceasefire while they re-fortify, rape and murder more victims and continue their warfare.
I don’t get it.
To listen to the commentary, and politicians, you get the impression that conservatives support Israel, and oppose barbaric terrorism. But liberals are in favor of the Palestinians, and are apologists for Hamas terrorism, because of some grudges against Israel for alleged crimes against Palestinians.
Five factors in current genocidal israelophobia:
* Igorance.
* Youths being influenced by a fake info clip on tiktok...
* Islamic antisemitism.
* Radical left who links Israel with the right.
* Media showing graphic images of dead kids which is exactly why Jihafists want, seek, bring about directly or indirectly.
You see things pretty much the same way I do.
I would note that there is a motivational background to all this stupidity.
Some performers just can’t put the mike down.
Some dancers just can’t sit one out.
Some baby/revolutionaries think they are on a roll and can’t imagine anything that would check the inevitable future they found out about since they got to their colleges a few months ago.
If it wasn’t for oil, nobody would care.
I have be3n ultra supportive of Israel, but now Israel feels what we have been going through for 60 years. THE LEFT MUST BE ROUTED, NO COEXSTENCE!
This sounds like the same oblivious BoomerCon dismissal of circa 2015 campus radicalism on woke, diversity, BLM and LGBT.
By 2020, that thinking had permeated almost every corporation and institution with the Woke Corporatism that we all see.
Prestige beliefs and high status opinions are formed at the Ivy League and then they diffuse via the elite media (NYT etc.) to the other institutions.
And that is what is happening right now with anti-Israel pro Hamas beliefs on the elite campuses.
If Israel ignores that opinion formation, and takes the attitude of 2015 NormieCons that this campus stuff will fade when they get to the “real world”, Israel will end up with a US dominated by a hostile elite, just as conservatives are facing every institution in the country dominated by woke leftisits.

American campus politics does suck, just as you say. I don’t think Israel has the leisure or the means to do much about it.
American Jews might want to put up a fight for a better campus climate. The Jews in my family circle are kind stuck. They are lifelong progressives and pretty careful about alienating their friends.
They might speak up a little, but they probably will just sit it out and nurse their damaged feelings of abandonment by their political homies.
Democrats are just the forerunner of an eventual Hamas style party. Muslims and Democrats will unite for global domination (for the good of all humanity and Mudder Erf).
It’s American jews that have to carry the campus battle in the USA.
But Israel does need to realize the danger that Ivy League campus radicalism ==> received opinions in US institutions.
The problem is, most of these guys have been cheering on campus leftism and radicalism for decades, and now they have been bit by their own dog, and they are not happy.
1. The political class always needs a bogeyman to deflect to. Blaming Jews for all of life's miseries rarely comes back to harm the political class. They'll keep doing it as long as it works.
2. Middle-eastern money donates to colleges to foment anti-Semitism. The woke colleges know how to keep the woke money coming in from the middle-east just like they know how to keep money coming in from the U.S. govt.
3. The she-he-it transanity is starting to peter out and the left needs a new cause to keep the left from being seen as clinging to an old fad that nobody else still supports.

Yep, 60 years now!!!
I know that there is a war of ideas and a war of information.
The current situation in Israel and Gaza has moved past that.
Americans should definitely inform themselves about long-term threats- China, Russia, Militant Islam, Socialism, Campus Dissent, Birth-Rate Decline, you-name-it.
This is different. There is going to a loser, and people are going to die. Israel has committed to not being that loser and acting to keep Israelis as safe as they can.
The war of ideas- and public opinion isn’t what matters most right now. Whether Israel is right or wrong mattered a month ago, not now. Whether restraint and negotiation would lead to a better outcome is not really relevant.
This is the other kind of war.
