BMW Motorrad has issued a “stop sale” notice for all of its internal combustion engine motorcycles in the US. The notice covers both new and used models, and specifically lists the BMW CE 04, an electric motorbike, as the only model still for sale from the company’s dealers.

The article says that BMW says it’s temporary. Maybe they found some kinks in the gas bikes that have to be worked out.
Let me know when Harley, Indian and Honda do the same..............

To ensure that our vehicles are of the highest industry standards, BMW performs ongoing testing and evaluation.Following a recent quality analysis, BMW is pursuing measures to further evaluate the material used in a component of its motorcycle evaporative system, which may not have been produced to material specifications.
As a result, BMW of North America is issuing a temporary, voluntary stop sale for all new and pre-owned BMW motorcycle models in dealer inventory, except for the CE 04.
This temporary stop sale is not safety related and BMW owners may continue to ride their motorcycles as normal.
Upon hearing this news, the management at Honda decided to celebrate with a very long lunch break of all-you-can-eat sushi and all-you-can-drink sake.
Has to do with the charcoal cannister for the evap system. That’s one of those things that gets ripped out and the tubing back to the throttle bodies gets cut and plugged the first time you tear your bike apart.

You’ll all be forced into driving electrical appliances which will also eventually be regulated out of existence as well. Severely limit freedom of movement/travel which is all part of their plan to put everyone on public transportation.

Id take a Harley ‘Live Wire’ if someone gave me one. Specs look good. I wouldn’t get rid of my sportster, tho’.
Maybe BMW should do something about the breaking frames. BMWs are more likely to have problems than HarleyDavidsons.
My BMW R100 was the only reliable European vehicle I ever had. Plus it was easy to work on.
What I don’t understand is this stop order is for ALL BMW motorcycles. They have a bunch of different engines not just the flat twin.
Did they screw up their entire line of motorcycles? Who is their engineer, Joe Biden?
