After two years of horror stories about the alleged mass graves of indigenous children at residential schools across Canada, a series of recent excavations at suspected sites has turned up no human remains.
Some academics and politicians say it’s further evidence that the stories are unproven.
Minegoziibe Anishinabe, a group of indigenous people also known as Pine Creek First Nation, excavated 14 sites in the basement of Our Lady of Seven Sorrows Catholic Church near the Pine Creek Residential School in Manitoba during four weeks this summer.
The so-called “anomalies” were first detected using ground-penetrating radar but on Aug. 18, Chief Derek Nepinak of remote Pine Creek Indian Reserve said no remains were found.
He also referred to the effort as the “initial excavation,” leading some who were skeptical of the original claims to think even more are planned.
“I don’t like to use the word hoax because it’s too strong but there are also too many falsehoods circulating about this issue with no evidence,” Jacques Rouillard, a professor emeritus in the Department of History at the Université de Montréal, told The Post Wednesday.

But, the lie has served its purpose, to vilify white people and Catholics. People will remember the lie, not the fact that it was a lie all along. Just like all the “hate crime” hoaxes that are perpetrated every year for decades, score big headlines, then bury or never report that it was a hoax.
Looks like logic and reason turned out to be the winner after all.
Shocking.
announced the discovery of a mass grave of more than 200 Indigenous children
Well, there's your first problem. With that traffic jam of consonants, it looks like someone is trying to spell out the sound of the burps you hear guys make after too many beers.
Is that the secret of why they initially mistook an underground nothing for a something?
They sure gave up soon. Only two years.
They will be looking for mass graves in Tulsa into the next century.
it couldn’t be because there aren’t any, could it...

(They will be looking for mass graves)
Sometimes the bodies were just left on top of the ground in New York....
I’m sure the CBC will be leading with this story....NOT!
Isn’t this the story that also got wrapped up with bizarre claims of Queen Elizabeth abusing and killing children while traveling to Canada decades earlier?
Was the whole story meant to discredit the child abuse and killing narratives—or just the embellishment with QE?
Blacks are using this ruse in Tulsa also. They’ve dug up quite a bit trying to find the “mass graves” from supposedly killings from the 1920’s.
The rest of it quickly became questionable because there were no names. No families if you will. There was no one who came forward with, "my cousin, John Smith, age nine was sent to this school and never returned home". There should have been names and dates. At least some. But no one seemed to be interested in that.
Were some of the children at the school abused? Odds are yes. The place was in operation over 200 years. Did some of the children die for any reason and be buried there? Once again, 200 years of operation, odds are yes. I believe they have a recorded cemetery on the property. Did some of the children run away or otherwise vanish? Once again in over 200 years of operation odds are yes.
Was there a mass slaughter of tribal children there during the 20th century?
No.
So far not a single hidden grave much less a mass one has been found and once more no named victims.
Might they at some point find a hidden grave of a single victim? Possible. Children are killed and buried by their killers but a mass grave no.
That all sounds about right.

I wouldn’t count those chickens just yet. The left knows how to manipulate facts very well.
It didn't exactly happen that way. There was a strike yes, there was a riot, yes, military no, bobbies yes, shot no, many boo-boos, yes.
I think they have a fricking monument to a massacre that never happened.
Justin Castreu encouraged the hoax which lead to the burning of multiple Catholic Churches in Canada.
And again the LIE was up and half way around the world before TRUTH could even git out of bed.
On other web pages the anomalies picked up on radar were rocks, rocks, more rocks, and thick roots from trees.
