In the early 20th century in Wales I believe there was supposedly a mining strike that was "brutally put down by the military with many shot".

It didn't exactly happen that way. There was a strike yes, there was a riot, yes, military no, bobbies yes, shot no, many boo-boos, yes.

I think they have a fricking monument to a massacre that never happened.
