WASHINGTON — Former President Donald Trump’s federal trial on charges that he unlawfully tried to remain in power following his 2020 election loss to Joe Biden will begin March 4, a judge here ruled Monday.
US District Judge Tanya Chutkan set the trial to begin one day before Super Tuesday, when Republican voters in 15 states and territories go to the polls to select their choice to be the party’s 2024 presidential candidate.
The trial in the nation’s capital is set to start three weeks before Trump is due to stand trial in Manhattan on charges related to payouts to porn star Stormy Daniels – despite both sides in the federal trial estimating they would each need up to six weeks to present their cases.

I agree with your statement on trial date of 2025.
BUt once Trup achieves office, I also believe the cases will wither away.
People forget so easily that the facts concerning election fraud have never been adduced before a court of law, there was not even ONE doiscovery proceeding allowed by either feeral or state courts. That was a travesty of Justice.
If these various cases go to trial there are reams of evidence indicating fraud in the 2020 election whiic will be factual submissions on discovery.
The secure document case is fatally flawed because the feds
did not exhaust all administrative remedies and simply initiated a criminal case on what statutorily was a civil matter concerrning presiidential records..
Here is one from Georgia:

What truly happened in Georgia so that Trump and his team were justified in challenging the election result....the facts?
There was fraud;
Fani Willis is indicting Trump and his team in order to obscure the truth.
The magic words: “Ruby Freeman and Shaya Moss” ( protected by the MSM spin and law suits initiated by the Dem Party)
This truth would come out at discovery if there is a trial. President Trump welcomes the indictments.

“Arguably the most flagrant example of possible fake ballot manufacturing on behalf of Joe Biden may have occurred at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. The possible perpetrators were caught in flagrante delicto on surveillance video.
In one version of this story, poll watchers and observers as well as the media were asked to leave in the middle of the night after a suspicious water leak. Once the room was cleared, several election officials pulled out large boxes of ballots from underneath a drapedtable. They then proceeded to tabulate a quantity of fake manufactured ballots estimated to be in the range of tens of thousands.
17
Note that a large surge in Biden votes following the tabulation of these ballots can be clearly observed after these votes were processed.
18
Despite what appears to be damning evidence of a possible crime, a spate of stories appeared across the anti-Trump media diaspora dismissing any concerns. According to these whitewash stories, these were regular and authorized ballot boxes, observers in the media were not asked to leave but simply left on their own, and it is perfectly acceptable to count ballots in the absence of observers.
19
Or so the spin goes.Of course, this is precisely the kind of incident that should be fully investigated both by Georgia’s Attorney General as well as by the Federal Department of Justice. Yet it remains unclear as to whether such investigations are underway. Meanwhile, the videotape itself, absent an adequate explanation, has contributed to the current climate of skepticism surrounding the fairness and integrity of the election........”

It’s not a “version of the story”. It’s on video for God and everyone to see clearly. Except they weren’t boxes; they were suitcases.
I agree. YOu can see it in the video.
According to Robert Barnes, here is what happened not only in GA but in many states’ challenges.
Barnes was set to participate in this challenge, but said it quickly became clear that Lin Wood and Sidney Powell were taking things in the direction of Dominion. Barnes has been emphatic: IT WAS NOT THE MACHINES, it was as he put it “good old fashioned ballot stuffing” through the mules, and that the machines were red herring. So he pulled out.
Here was the extensive petition Barnes drafted, but then he pulled out before filing this. I believe he is right. I think there may have been, as in AZ, some “tricksies” with either the vote counting outfit or people going in afterwards from the BoS, but so far no one has proven even before the AZ leg that the machines were tampered with-—and remember we have physical ballot backup and match. So any #s changed in machines would somehow have also had to have been changed first with the paper ballots, which is why I’m with Barnes on this.
The only way to get to the bottom is for a court to FORCE signature match of over 10,000 ballots. Normally about 3% are “bad.” But if we find over 3%, then something was fishy.
I have always thought the votes were changed in the machines and then they closed down the counting at night and brought in boat loads of ballots to match the machine counts in the areas that were decisive. Seems I remember them running some of the same stacks over and over in the those machines
I think Biden lost by a lot, a whole lot. The RATS cheat all over the place and put their main focus on the areas that will matter the most.
Do those ballots still exist?
Also, IIRC other swing states changed the counting rules so that time stamps or signature matching were not required. If we could prove that the PA electors were appointed incorrectly, so that a court would be forced to intervene, that would be huge. We could expect Antifa and BLM riots again.
That wasn’t the case in AZ.
I don’t know. I don’t even know if the “computer keys” that were at the center of the AZ senate investigation that bogged down when they couldn’t force a subpoena of the criminal board of supes still exist.
Not only have we not proven much in court and investigations, but many in the public see some anti-dem theory flop, and they assume all the dem cheating theories are wrong.
It's smart to admit the limitations of what has been actually "proven" so far, beyond what the Trump fanatics believe. That is the only way to escape the "of course it was stolen" mentality of so many. We can, and should, hope that Trump finally has the goods, and will deliver them. A lot is riding on this, and he will have had 3 years to gather his evidence by the time the trial starts.
That said, his attempts to delay the trial, and attack everyone associated with it, does not exude confidence.
I hope you are not suggesting that the defense has the burden of proof. 3 years would be Aug 1 2026.
That said, his attempts to delay the trial, and attack everyone associated with it, does not exude confidence.
Maybe some day you or I will have to face a DC kangaroo court. In terms of power, the FEDS have at least a 100 to 1 advantage. I don't consider DC to be US territory now.
Trump is trying to win an election, and the marxist judge's selection is one day before Super Tuesday. That is more naked election interference. A 90% anti-Trump jury pool at least. I think you and I would both expect that unless some unlikely event occurs, they will convict regardless of the evidence.
Oh, so you think Trump should now be given SIX (6) years to finally prove the election was stolen. Ok. My guess is he won't get that long.
I think you and I would both expect that unless some unlikely event occurs, they will convict regardless of the evidence.
Probably correct. I can't imagine many people living in DC approve of what happened on J6. But Trump could at least finally try to prove his case in the court of public opinion. Hopefully he can. But it's not clear he will argue his innocence more than he will claim he is a victim, which has been his M/O so far.
I thought you meant Trump was going to prove something about the Jack Smith indictment. WRT 2020, I don’t set any time limit on proof of Dem/RINO skullduggery. I think there was serious cheating, but I don’t know if proof exists. DOJ/FBI are not interested in Dem corruption. Another question is whether Biden would have won without the cheating. I am not sure about that, but there are many dems who deserve to be indicted for 2020 but never will be. There are still mysteries about the 1960 election.
That is actually exactly how I feel. So I believe we actually agree more on the core issues than we disagree. I am just more unforgiving about my complaints regarding Trump blowing the $250M that was donated to him to investigate it, while you are more sympathetic to his plight as a victim. But either way, he needs to do a better job of making his case, especially now.
DOJ/FBI are not interested in Dem corruption.
This appears true, but Trump did appoint the AG's for 4 of the last 6 years, and the current FBI director. He was also conspicuously hands off during his entire term with regard to managing the DOJ. If there's an issue there, still, he should shoulder at least some of the blame. Not saying it's all his fault, because it's not, but he shouldn't be immune to criticism, as many believe. Sure, being President is tough. But don't sign up for the job then whine that it's all unfair.
That's why we'll never amend the Constitution. We're too divided and each EV is worth a lot right now.
That sounds right to me. Making DC a new blue state is obviously unconstitutional without an amendment, but the Biden gang has millions of new illegal invaders stashed away around the nation, waiting for the right moment.
They're not going to bother with the amendment because we'll still have 13 red states to say no.
They are not pretending to make any effort to save the republic. In the 19th century Mexico allowed people from the US to settle in Texas. Those settlers overwhelmed the Mexican residents though legal immigration and eventually rebellion. In a way, Our greedy politicians are allowing illegal immigration to reverse that change. But the cartels, not Mexico, are the beneficiaries.
P.S. I don't blame Mexicans. I love Mexican food by the way.
But we're not handling the flow of migrants in a way that benefits us. And that's intentional like you said. Trump tried but failed. So it's going to get worse. South Africa is a good example of the direction we're heading.
