Climate deniers are entitled to their own opinions, but not their own facts (barf)
The Hill ^ | Aug 27, 2023 | Glenn C. Altschuler

Republicans and their cable news allies are still hot and bothered about climate change. A few examples:

Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.) accused Climate Envoy John Kerry of being a “grifter,” trying to charge taxpayers “a quadrillion dollars to fix a problem that doesn’t exist.” Liberals don’t “really believe in global warming,” Tucker Carlson asserted, because “the entire theory is absurd and they know it.” “It’s, hot, hot, hot, all right,” Laura Ingraham told Fox News viewers. “After all, we’re in the middle of a season called ‘summer.’” Stronger hurricanes are “a fact of life in the Sunshine State,” declared Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. “I’ve always rejected the politicization of the weather.”

During a hearing of the House Science, Space and Technology Committee, Rep. Mo Brooks (R-S.C.) claimed that “Every time you have soil or rock or whatever it is deposited into the seas, that forces the sea levels to rise, because now you have less space in these oceans, because the bottom is moving up.” Former President Trump, who has frequently called climate change “a hoax,” recently opined that it “may affect us in 300 years.”

Not one Republican in Congress voted for the Biden administration’s bill to combat climate change. The percentage of rank-and-file Republicans who think global warming is caused by human activity has declined over the last two decades. These days, 70 percent of Republicans say climate change is a minor threat or no threat at all.

here is a brief summary of facts about climate change and its effect on the lives and livelihoods of all Americans:

2023 is likely to be the hottest year on record, and possibly the hottest in 100,000 years.

This year’s excessive heat has already resulted in 235,000 emergency room visits

"here is a brief summary of facts about climate change and its effect on the lives and livelihoods of all Americans:

2023 is likely to be the hottest year on record, and possibly the hottest in 100,000 years. "

With words "likely" and "possibly" it means it is not a fact. And the rest of his so called facts are debatable.

And as usual the main point is missing, deniers are not saying the climate is not changing, we are denying it's man made and caused by CO2.

The climate has changed c9r billions of years.

The hoax is that forcing poverty onto humanity will stop it.

This guy is a history professor at Cornell.

What exactly entitles him to lecture to the rest of us? How many hard science degrees does he have?

we are denying it’s man made and caused by CO2.

Agree the core samples have proved it’s hottest before an ice age.

Yup- Exactly- the left have no facts, so they have to resort to insults and lies in order to ‘win’ the argument

If the climate change save the earth fanatics want to help everyone all they need to do is form a circular firing squad.

Humans will become smarter and have more food to eat!

... not their own facts.

Yeah, the leftist 'facts' of the climate claimers are based on manipulated computer modeling.

FACT: Not a single “climate change” prediction made since I have been alive(63 years) has come true or even close.

the core samples also prove that warming happens first, and then, 800 or so years later, CO2 rises- proving that CO2 is not driving climate like the alarmists falsely claim that it is

I believe in climate change. I just don't care about it.

I don't believe it will be catastrophic and I'm certainly not willing to return to a Dark Age standard of living to try to mitigate it.

Yes the alarmists fail to reason the climate has cycles they think it’s like a switch turned on and nothing changes.

The solar cycle climate model is 93% accurate at predicting present-day climate based on historical climate data.

https://electroverse.net/professor-valentina-zharkova-breaks-her-silence-and-confirms-super-grand-solar-minimum/

No climate "scientist's" computer model comes close to that degree of accuracy and never will because of the impossibility of knowing and mapping an infinite number of initial conditions at a precise moment in time.

https://wattsupwiththat.com/2016/09/04/chaos-climate-part-3-chaos-models/

The only reason climate "scientists" don't use the solar cycle climate model is because it doesn't give them the result they want; global warming (which is code for exterminating 90% of the global population).

The solubility of CO2 in water is inversely proportional to temperature

Since CO2 is soluble in water and the oceans cover a majority of the Earth's surface, the oceans sequester more CO2 than any other CO2 sink.

Because of the inverse solubility of CO2 with temperature, the colder the oceans get, the more CO2 they can absorb.

Conversely, when the oceans get warmer, they expel CO2.

Atmospheric CO2 therefore follows global temperatures, it does not cause them.

You can see the yearly global atmospheric CO2 fluctuation as the oceans warm and cool with the seasons in the NOAA graph below.

The "settled science" that CO2 causes "climate change" is criminal sophistry.

I never met anyone who denied there was a phenomenon called "climate" and never met anyone that claimed that "climate" did not "change."

This is a worldwide straw man game.

I deny some things, by also NOT denying some facts. Our species is not capable of "controlling" change. Our species is not capable of controlling "climate change."

No activist can say with surety what the correct climate is because, weather changes. Seasons change. The world changes. No activist can say anything other than "the state should control you with ever greater effect" and "the state requires more income to make this so."

It is a grift, with the chief grifters flying high and fast, "footprints" far above the mere and meager citizen. So, straw men require those brave grifters who erect and then propose to knockdown the straw men -- if only we pony up more money.

The theme? Money. Money. Money. AND more money.
