Former Gov. John Kasich (R-OH) said Friday on MSNBC’s “Ana Cabrera Reports” that he was deeply concerned that America is so divided that it could end up in a civil war.
Kasich said, “Let me just make an observation. There are many Americans who just can’t wait for Donald Trump to go to jail, and there are Trump people who just are so angry at the system that they think the system of justice doesn’t work in America, and nobody’s listening to anybody else, and it’s all dominated by anger.”
He continued, “I’ve become convinced, and it’s going to get people stirred up, I think we need some sort of a spiritual revival in this country. I don’t know what’s going to get people out of their silos. I don’t know what’s going to quell the anger, which is now turning into hatred, one side against the other. We’ve seen spiritual movements before work in the Gilded Age at the turn of the 20th Century, there was a time when the robber barons ran everything and the Social Gospel Movement was born. It changed America from an I country into a we country for about 60 or 70 years.”

The US Constitution means little to an immoral society. We have no shared values or common goals with the ‘Progressives’. There was a time when compromise was in order. Each gave a little, but it was the progressives that kept coming back for the other half until there is nothing left.
This idiot thinks that this is all caused by Trump. The country is not being divided by Trump, it is being divided because of the Democrat woke policies that are being shoved down our throats. Trump just represents those millions of people that are tired of our politicians lying to us to get elected and then doing nothing to stop the decent into socialism, wokeness and communism.

Kasich needs to go back to eating pancakes and stabbing friends in the back. No one is talking civil war other than undercover FBI agents and idiots like Kasich.
What we want is a nation divorce. Peaceful, negotiated divorce...

I would say America has been the closest thing to a "we" country for less than five years of its existence. That being 1941 to 1945. And I think it's going to take a period of similar stress to turn the trick again.

John Kasich needs to be arrested immediately and charged with inciting an insurrection by justifying the likelihood of a civil war. (sarc)

I think the biggest reason for the bloodlust is Trump’s success at governing puts to the lie that the professional political class is needed. As much as Trump irritates me, he does demonstrate the Founding Father principle of go out and be a success in private life then enter politics to give back to the nation.
What the professional political class does is start out in the political hustings almost from high school. McConnell, Clinton, Biden are good examples. If there is ever a break from that route it’s because of an election loss and they park themselves at some non-profit think tank until their political time comes again. He shows all of that is unnecessary. He also shows that the political & international political expert class is also unbelievably inept - thinking Bolton, Nuland, etc. He also threatens the political pundit\talking head rice bowl. He shows they are just blowhard entertainer wannabes who have no more special knowledge & understanding of economics or world events then the average person. They just have access to a TV camera & a microphone and regular people don’t! He punctures all those egos & rice bowls! If it wasn’t Trump but another “amateur” she\he would get the same treatment.
Trump & those like him who may follow threaten a whole way of life for the professional political class, the international\political expert class, the punditry\talking head class and the political PR firms. Many of them couldn’t earn a living any other way! Of course, this possible trend has to be strangled in the crib! They are going to have to fight as dirty as possible to protect their way of life. So, if you think about it none of this is surprising!

When Democrats and RINOs talk about unity, what they mean is everyone should move to the left and agree with them.
