Parents claim two southern California high school students were suspended and required to undergo "restorative justice" discipline after "misgendering" a teacher.
The incident allegedly occurred in the Glendale Unified School District (GUSD) last spring. GUSD Parents Voices, a group largely comprised of Glendale parents and residents, shared a photo of an email allegedly referencing the incident on Twitter.
The email was seemingly sent by a GUSD administrator, who stated that she "suspended two students for five days" after "misgendering" a teacher. When Crisis in the Classroom (CITC) reached out to GUSD to confirm the authenticity of the email, a district spokesperson stated that "a student has never been punished, much less suspended, for accidentally using the wrong pronoun to refer to a peer or staff member."
The GUSD spokesperson also noted that a student can be suspended if an action escalates to "harassment or bullying," which is in accordance with state guidance. According to the email shared by GUSD Parents Voices, the two students "ran away" after the interaction with the teacher.

Those students should not have been suspended for calling that teacher a woman, because that’s what she is. She was just pretending to be a man.
why arent more doing this?
make them suspend them all
What the hell is “restorative justice”??
Yet if they would have accused people of being Nazis, they’d be honored.
To make the students know their place
just plain wrong
5 days? An entire school week missed because somebody’s “Let’s Pretend!” feelings were hurt? No. No. That Trans is playing Power Games, Pecking Order games of who’s the most important person here?
“But we thought her pronoun was b-tch!”
“We’re so confused...”
… restorative justice most often involves face-to-face meetings between a victim and an offender (though practitioners don’t use those words, preferring descriptors like “affected party” and “responsible party,” because “victim” and “offender,” as one advocate explains, “leave people fixed in time,” and restorative justice is all about change). These meetings—often called “circles”—are also attended by members of the wider community: family, friends, other people affected by the crime. And by the time everyone sits down together, weeks or months of planning and preparation have gone into the event, as restorative-justice facilitators first meet separately—with both victim and offender—to gather information and to discuss in detail the expectations and structure of the coming dialogue and the process as a whole.
There’s more but you can guess the rest. The high schoolers will be reprogrammed by the school and prostrate themselves before the teacher. Mea culpa and they will all sing Kumbaya then the students go forth having learned they have no free speech rights in Amerika while the teacher’s narcissistic tendencies bloom.
This is the style the Left has chosen in pursuing reparations as well.
Gulag speak.
heh
It sounds like a good way to skip school.
California is no longer just the “land of the fruits and nuts” but of psychos.
Look what happened to Winston fin Orwell’s 1984. That is where this is heading.
Me, in the “restorative justice” “classroom”:
“No.
“I refuse.
“You will not compel my speech.”
The students weren’t misgendering her, she was misgendering herself and they used the correct gender.
That’s a bingo! Let them die.
When is it a good time to remove your kids from this grooming atmosphere? when?
