DeSantis Approaches All Time Poll Low Amidst Trump Indictment Bump.
National Pulse ^ | June 13, 2023 | Staff writer

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is polling in the teens again, approaching his all-time low in the Republican primary field, which originally came on May 13th 2023. That was a full month after the first Trump indictment, which suggests the effect of this second case against the former President may hamper DeSantis for weeks to come. A Morning Consult tracker now sees Trump at 59 percent in the Republican primary, a full 40 points ahead of his nearest competitor, DeSantis (19). The rest of the field lags further behind, with Mike Pence on eight, Tim Scott on four, and the rest (Haley, Ramaswamy, Christie, Hutchinson, Bergum) pulling in 10 points, in total, between them. Ron DeSantis has not gained any ground at all since his campaign launch, and is struggling to make his mark on the Republican Primary. A full 25 percent of the Republican likely voter base said they would not be willing to consider DeSantis as their nominee. Just 14 percent said the same for Trump. At the beginning of 2023, DeSantis actually commanded a lead on the question “Who would you vote for, Joe Biden vs. DeSantis or Trump?” He outperformed Trump up until his campaign launch (and a shadow campaign), and has lagged behind since.

While Trump also has the highest voter favorables according to Morning Consult, Chris Christie has the lowest.

Are you younger than 18?
When you run for governor and ask people to vote for you,
In essence you are committing to serve out what you were elected for. Voters never want a quitter. Sarah Palin made that blunder.

Doesn’t Florida have Term limits? Isn’t Desantis Term limited?

Ron has not figured out how to thread the needle.

That maybe because the needle can’t be threaded.

He has to appeal to those likely to vote in a Republican primary by both differentiating himself from Trump and making sure that he doesn’t look like he is ignoring the Biden Crime family.

His problem is that he is focused on the “sins” of Donald Trump while making it seem like those “sins” are worse than Biden’s REAL crimes.

Ron can NEVER make ground with Republican voters demonizing Trump more than he demonizes the Biden Crime family.

But that is the trap the Republican wing of the Uniparty has fallen into time and again.

Attacking Trump like he is a Democrat while lay offing Crooked Hillary and the Biden Crime family instead of attacking them with more zeal than they are attacking Trump.

That strategy is NEVER going to work.

Do you think the 2020 election was rigged?

If so, do you think any Republican candidate can remain silent on that issue?

I would love to have a Conservative in the White House - but rigged elections and the weaponization of the DOJ make all other issues moot.

We need a leader with the will to fight this corruption and restore accountability to the Constitution and to We the People.

At this point, I don’t care if it’s Trump, Ron Paul, RFK Jr or even a Marxist like Bernie Sanders - as long as he was truly elected by the people, and not selected by the permanent t bureaucracy.

How can any Republican hopeful turn a blind eye to all that has happened over the last 7 years? Fake investigations, fake impeachments, fake news, fake elections and blatant coverups of Democrat crime families?

Republican politicians (except Trump) are acting like victims of spousal abuse who are ashamed to admit they are victims - who won’t press charges - who won’t fight back or get help. It’s disgusting.

I’m as passionate about Conservatism as anyone here, but debating the issues is pointless if the debates and elections are rigged.

If DeSantis was serious about fixing what’s broken, then rigged elections would be his number one concern - and it’s just not.

He has zero chance of getting any traction with We the People unless he acknowledges the elephant in the room.

would be nice if all states had term limits on all elected offices and term limits on federal and state employees of any administrative nature.

The election was rigged and Trump was too weak to stop it. Nothing has changed on those fronts. So we should expect the same outcome in 2024 if Trump runs again.

Meanwhile Ron makes a total buffoon of himself at a rodeo in Oklahoma.

Hey Ron, they were there for a rodeo, not a political event. Using events like this is what they do when they can’t get a crowd.

Those people heard more bull coming from that microphone than they did in the whole rodeo! LOL

The issue of serving the full four terms was raised by liberal Charlie Crist during the ‘22 campaign, but I don't recall DeSantis taking an oath.

There is no point courting the “Trump or I’m not voting” crowd because it’s an imbecilic position.

“Pledge/Oath, call it what you want but in the end he told every Florida voter, thanks but no thanks. I sour on people who break an oath.”

Did he break an oath?

The record shows he clearly left his options open. This was done in very public debates.

Did he break an oath?

Are you saying he didn't swear an oath to serve as Florida's elected Governor?

“When you run for governor and ask people to vote for you,
In essence you are committing to serve out what you were elected for.”

That was the tainted bait liberal Charlie Crist offered. DeSantis declined it.

And everyone knew it when they voted in that election; including Trump who endorsed DeSantis’ run in 2022.
