Salespeople working for independent wholesalers that sell Anheuser-Busch beverages are feeling the pain in their wallets of the ongoing boycott of Bud Light following its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
Sales of Bud Light have declined for seven consecutive weeks after the product endorsement from the controversial TikToker garnered immediate backlash.
The partnership sparked protests and backlash and parent company Anheuser-Busch has shed $27 billion in value in mere months.

Not just shelf space, but REFIGERATED shelf space.

The other day I was in a training class full of mostly Regular Joes and they all had a good laugh when the topic of Bud Light came up. These guys weren’t political junkies but were well aware of the issue and definitely weren’t going to be buying Bud Light anytime soon.
I go to a local beer store, to, uh, buy beer. It is one of those places that basically just sells beer, and the floor space is just stack of cases of beer. All of the brands of beer are bought down to one degree or another. The Bud Light, however, is stacked over six feet high, in complete layers. Not a case missing from the stack.
I used to drink it, then I learned how to brew my own. Haven’t looked back since.
Schmitts Gay Beer might sue for some kind of infringement.

Why did they remove the original songs, they had ZZ Top’s “Fool For Your Stockings” and VH’s “Beautiful Girls”. That was the best part of the skit.
My grocery store’s Bud stock hasn’t been moving for weeks. Now, they’ve drastically reduced the available Budweiser products. Where they used to take up a sizeable section of the refrigerated and stacked beer sections, they are relegated to very small areas now. Yeungling and Miller seem to be taking up the newly released space.
Also, I was at a cookout last week and all of us who drink beer brought some to put in the hosts’ built in cooler on their back patio. There was just about every kind of beer in there except Bud.
Last year, probably half the beer in there was a Budweiser product.
Blame the customer like the M She U(Marvel) calling fans Racist because they complain about all the black characters

I had some rather conservative family members visit me a couple of weeks ago. So I bought a case of Iron City beer. And I bought one can of Bud Light.
When we all sat down after dinner, I took out the can of Bud Light. “Bud Lights for everybody,” I said. “It was on sale.”
I thought that was funny. But no one else did. So I got the Iron City out in a hurry.
So why does BL expect us, the customers, to show more compassion to their own employees than they did?
Ensuing cries of "unfair" are cried into bullhorns, and the crowd walks away, leaving the activists inactive.
What a queer idea. :)
There was a similar situation here some years ago, when radio personality Don Imus was fired by CBS Radio after the infamous "nappy-headed 'hos" comment on the air. He filed a lawsuit against the company, and all evidence indicates that he simply referred to the provision in his contract where he was hired specifically to produce "irreverent" and "controversial" content on the air. Three months later, the parties settled the dispute over the $40 million contract out of court.
Dunning-Kruger effect?
Agreed.
There is a HUGE difference between doing what you’re forced to do as a business to survive, and leaning forward, carrying the rainbow flag from the front as AB did.
good point
How many brewers have been laid off at the breweries? I imagine they have a union, right?
I hope this is a rude wake-up call to every other company
QUEER BEER!
