Leaked audio has emerged from the DeSantis donor strategy meeting in Miami on Thursday. In the clip you can hear below, DeSantis strategists tell high dollar donors making calls for the campaign that:
During the session, the hosts – including DeSantis pollster Ryan Tyson amongst others – can be heard lauding this a “major step forward for the Republican Party in moving to the middle [on abortion].”
There are a number of times throughout the leaked audio that DeSantis’s strategist can be heard telling wealthy donors: “You have to win a primary before you win a general,” – which is political campaign speak for “we’ll move to the middle after we win the nomination.”
The full audio can be heard below. The parts on abortion begin at 27 minutes in, and run until 39 minutes in.

Yeah, sure, that's the point of what I posted.
Clearly an honest discussion with you is not possible - as you demonstrate here, and pretty much every other time you have posted in recent times. No matter the topic, it seems.
True, but there are many issues which go along with that.
But the post you are responding to was made within the context of this post and what it is attempting to convey.
Don’t respond to arguments not being made.
I haven’t exactly been charitable to DeSantis in many of my posts lately. But lying about him is not on the cards, nor is lying about Trump or anyone else on the cards. Unfortunately people just get into a camp and spread narratives and facts don’t matter whether they be good or bad - just make it up as you are going along...and hurl some insults at people who dare think reality should be a factor in discussions.
It’s the Bush/Rove RINO playbook
Color me not shocked.
Yep...Everything about him screams phony!
The dirty dogs!
I know what the answer is because he said it just before the 2020 election. He said if reelected he would get rid of Wray & Fauci.
Duh. Anyone who knows anything about Presidential campaigning knows that this is what every candidate, from both parties, typically does. It’s campaign class 101.
However, as DeSantis has pointed out the last couple of days, Trump is actually running to the left now, in the primary, which is very unusual for a Republican.
The best guess is that he would then plan to go even FURTHER to the left in the general election, were he the nominee, with Trump making the assumption his groupie voters on the right will follow him anywhere, even to the far left, if necessary, where he might siphon a few votes from the Democrats, and then govern more from his natural left were he to win.
Trump said on Hannity’s show just last week during their interview he was NOT ready to fire Chris Wray, believe it or not.
He said “time will tell” and he would only make that decision if he becomes President.
I kid you not.
It IS a State Issue.
You see, it doesn’t matter what his personal opinion is. He is owned by the people paying the freight because he could not have run without that big money.
He is going to be what they say he is for.
But, this is proof he's the same old Bush-style, bait-and-switch Republican that establishment has run for years.
You don’t have one now.
God you can trust, the rest not so much.
Exactly right.
I doubt strongly DeSantis agrees with “safe, legal, and rare.” It is more likely these strategists are going against his stance in order to keep/get the votes of woman who are conservative on most issues but support the killing of unborn babies.
Re: 30 - Really?
Good grief.
Every candidate does this after the primaries. Without exception.
RFK jr might become the next POTUS.
They’ll make sure of it.
