“Once a religious functionary inscribed the text and sealed the tablet, the incantation became binding. It could not be erased since the tablet would crumble and the curse would disappear, if opened. Neither humans nor supernatural beings could cancel or negate an occult message since they could not see it. However, this has changed in recent decades as scientists have gained the ability to see the interior of lead tablets using X-ray computed tomography and advanced data processing,” the paper states.

I thought X-rays couldn't penetrate lead...

I’ve been interested in the results of this discovery.

What it tends to support is an earlier time for the Exodus, Middle Bronze age, and supports the conclusion that a form of ancient Hebrew existed at the time of Moses. Some Biblical critics doubt Moses could have written the pentateuch on the grounds that Hebrew wasn’t a written language then.

This would rebut some of that criticism.

"...Scholars date tiny ‘curse tablet,’ found at Mt. Ebal, to 1200 BC – which would prove Israelites were literate when they entered Holy Land....

Exsqueeze me but the accepted timeframe for Moses receiving the 10 Commandments is the 13th Century BC, and is that not also "proof" that he Israelites were literate, either that or "the God YHW" mistook them for being so.
