Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said on Sunday that U.S. Border Patrol encounters have dropped by half in the two days since Title 42 expired.
Around 6,300 encounters took place on Friday and 4,200 happened Saturday — a marked decrease from the over 10,000 reported before the end of Title 42, Mayorkas said during an interview on CNN.
Pressed on why the numbers have fallen, Mayorkas credited a “vitally important message” encouraging people arriving at the border to take legal pathways toward entry, which he said has been expanded by President Joe Biden in “an unprecedented way.”
Mayorkas also touted stiffer punishments under Title 8, which can include deportation, a five-year ban on entry, and possible criminal prosecution.

Am I reading this wrong? 4200 is NOT half of 6300. Also, he says "two days". Friday to Saturday is NOT two days.
Actually, the bottom line is we all have seen the buses in the middle of the night transporting how many? Also, are they really flying illegals in from Central America. Is that true?

From the same ass who told us the border was secure while hundreds of thousands including drug mule and terrorists crossed it, why is it I don’t believe him. Maybe the encounters with Border Patrol is down because this Traitor/POS has pulled them to areas were there are almost no illegals crossing?
Maybe cartels are working with the Biden Administration to slow things down until the gullible press packs up and goes back to New York.

Actually no, they are being diverted to check points on that immigration app DHS put out. The plan initially was to have them walk in and get a court date later. Now, since a federal judge in FL killed that plan, they are receiving those court dates via the app and just walking in after being checked that they have received a court date at those check points... they aren’t counting those as ‘encounters’ so they can lie and pretend the numbers are down.
What the administration is doing is they have prevailed on Mexico to let controlled releases into the country with the intent of taking in all 700,000 on our side. Since the judge stayed allowing the administration to just let them in on parole claiming overcrowding at processing centers, the scheme is that as folks are processed out all over the country, Mexico sends a steady stream of migrants to replace them until the 700,000 are on the US side. As usual Myorkas and the media are misrepresenting what is really occurring

Funny, the numbers are down, eh? So here I am on my annual week in San Diego in May…and I’m sitting in my VRBO looking out on South Mission Beach and watching the surf this morning. And parked one mile out from my balcony, plain as day, is a U.S. Navy frigate. Been parked out there for a couple hours now and is showing no signs of moving or going anywhere.
Don’t think they’d have a big frigate out there that close to shore in plain view of everyone if they didn’t want to be very noticeable to anyone trying to land “a cargo” on the beach. First time I’ve seen this in all the years I’ve coming here. So something different is happening.
I was astounded that they are just now installing razor wire? Like this wasn’t possible before?
