'I would be stupid' to stick with Trump if he can't win: Conservative influencer Tomi Lahren

With an eye on the 2024 election, young conservative influencers are trying to get a handle on how to reach out to their increasingly alienated generation and pull them back to the Republican Party.

Speaking with Newsweek's Katherine Fung, conservative commentator and OutKick podcaster Tomi Lahren, who built her reputation as a staunch defender of Donald Trump, said she is worried about 2024 -- particularly following reports that Joe Biden's digital strategy team is working hand in hand with liberal influencers to reach out to more young voters.

"If we want to win [the 2024 election], we're going to have to understand what our best chances of actually winning are and be honest: Is what we're influencing about winning an election or about, what I call, personal grifting?"

Lahren added that as much as she loves Trump, she's afraid he has become unelectable -- a common refrain heard from Republicans -- and that conservatives as a group need to coalesce around a single message.

"I love Donald Trump. I loved him as my president. He was the greatest president of my lifetime. I wish he was my president now," Lahren, who has 4.2 million followers combined on Twitter and Instagram, explained before adding, "I'm afraid that Donald Trump, as the nominee, will cause people to vote for Joe Biden just because they hate Trump."

She also noted that the former president faces an uphill battle in Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Arizona, and that the "facts on the ground" bear that out.

"Am I willing to be loyal to a losing candidate just to be loyal? No, I have to be loyal to my country first and if I see another candidate that embodies the America First principles, but can win, I would be stupid to not advocate in that direction,"

Give me a break. Trump sabotaged himself in 2020, sabotaged the Red Wave in 2022 and you still think Trump’s negatives as a candidate are the same as any other Republican? At this point he’s got more baggage and probably higher negatives than Hillary had in 2016.

This person I am not familiar with is on the same page I am on. America First is the agenda, not Trumpism. There was a time Trump spoke about the country being more important than one man, him. He doesn’t act like it. He’s obsessed and sees himself as the only one who can correct the course we’re on. If that’s the case he did a lousy job of successor planning as defacto head of the party.

If Trump is the GOP nominee, 101% chance Biden wins re-election in 2024 if he’s still running.

We’re foolish is we play the game by the rules as they used to be and not evolve GOTV efforts and work on recruiting next generation voters. Social media is toxic and propagandist and the Left have a very long history of success in that area. DeSantis is as bad for the brand as Trump with his embarrassing efforts to shore up his bonafides with social conservatives. Disney has played him like a fiddle, is that who we want negotiating with Putin, Xi and company?

This spoogeprincess was anti-Trump for the last two years and consequently made herself irrelevant. Don’t know any influencers who go, “Wow, did you hear Tomi Lauren?”

No option offers what Trump offers, and that is a willingness to take on the corruption, and produce real change in this country. All other options just offer the same ole same ole. Even DeSantis.

This is just more of the overall attempt to discredit Trump. Remember his policies and economic achievements instead of the unproven mud they’ve thrown out there since day one.

The reason Trump can’t win is that he is America First

Except Trump did win in 2016. As much as the swamp, establishment and progressives reee over America First, Trump can’t win in 2024 because he alienated too many crossover voters and even GOP voters and has done nothing to rehabilitate his image. His strategy for 2024 is tainted by his narcissism and obsession. He’s not thinking clearly and that’s why Joe won. He helped Dems make the past two elections about him rather than about a positive agenda.

Trump has proven himself as one who knows how to save this nation and he can win easily if those patriots who want the nation returned to a constitutional republic would get behind him instead of throwing rocks.

"You will be a loyal party member, comrade!"

It has nothing to do with party loyalty. It's about the known and unknown. I'd rather vote for someone who I know has performed every day, and carried through on his promises, while being under fire constantly, including having a divided Congress, and members of his own party stabbing them in the back, than someone who is an unknown, who has never had to perform under fire, or had to deal with a divided government. If you have common sense, you don't vote for an unknown factor. You vote for the person you already know will deliver on their promises.

You cost us a senator with your “Dr. Azz” nonsense and gave us Fetterman.

No, Trump gave us Dr Azz who could not beat a braindead mongoloid.

Just as I saw that loss coming, I see Trump's loss in 2024.

This chick torpedoed herself YEARS ago when she came out as pro-abortion. She has been irrelevant ever since, having proved she has no moral or political discernment whatsoever.

Please read this again. Many around here have forgotten that, IMHO.
