he decision to fire Tucker Carlson from his ratings juggernaut show on Fox News reportedly came straight from Rupert Murdoch.
The exact factors which contributed to the anchor’s exit have not been officially confirmed by Fox, but sources have told various outlets that there were several factors involved in the decision. Persons familiar with the situation told the Los Angeles Times that Murdoch, the Fox Corporation chairman, was concerned about Carlson’s coverage of the attack on the Capitol on January 6, 2021, in which Carlson downplayed events as “mostly peaceful chaos” and promoted the notion that it was provoked by government agents.
Carlson was roundly criticized for his comments, including by a number of Republican senators. “The American people saw what happened on Jan. 6,” explained Senator Mitt Romney (R., Utah) to reporters. “They’ve seen the people that got injured, they saw the damage to the building. You can’t hide the truth by selectively picking a few minutes out of tapes and saying this is what went on. It’s so absurd. It’s nonsense.”

Who would can their own box office gold?
I's a very Orwellian world now.
Very Orwellian.
Nearly a billion dollars in the settlement. That ain’t box office gold.
FURM and FUFNC, you’re dead to me now.
The guy that got engaged, then called it off two weeks later in the last two months?
Foolish move.
There. Fixed it.
Funny how romney accused Tucker of selective editing when that is exactly what the committee did..selectively edit EVERYTHING..I knew Murdoch told Tucker to keep his beak shut the day after the tapes were released because Tucker did not mention it anymore, did not show anymore tapes..just kept repeating the footage he had already released, nothing new after that so I knew..Murdoch wants to turn fox news into MSNBC Lite and thats fine, I wont be shedding any tears at its demise..Apparently Murdoch listens to the likes of AOC and Schmucky Schumer, when they say remove Tucker, its done just like that
GOPe and the Left got their scalp. Remember, VOTE HARDER. Yeah, right.
I suppose Tucker will be replaced with Dylan Mulvaney. A very bad decision.
I heard someone say Tucker is estimated to make $30 million a year.
The guys at Fox may well be thinking that they are saving all that money by firing Tucker, but if ratings decline, then Fox income from advertising will decline as well.
I’ve also heard that as part of the secret Dominion voting lawsuit settlement, that a secret condition was to fire Tucker. Unless someone leaks the details of the confidential settlement, we will never know if there’s a connection between the Dominion voting lawsuit and Tucker being let go.
Remember the January 6 “Siege”?
Nancy Pelosi bravely drinking champagne in a trench.
Hahahahahahahahaha!!!
What did the media do, Mitt? Picked out a few select clips from January 6 and said that was what went on.
What I saw on Jan 6 was constituents trying to gain access to their “house”
Rupert has become a silly old man, runnin’ through the women, too.
Romney isn’t a Republican. He is an apprentice DemocRAT!
The RINOs seem obsessed with finding “common ground” with the enemy, so much so they buy into their bogus narrative.
$30 million for Tucker is a bargain. He has 4 million eyeballs a night.
As for the settlement. That was $700 Mil. Their stock value plumeted more than a Billion $ so far after the Tucker announcement.
It is my belief that Carlon still had a couple of more days’ worth of stories from the J6 videos, but that after day two the word came down to end it there.
This seems to imply that may have indeed been the case.
Murdoch is 92 years old...
This P.O’d the liars in the Capitol so they must have put the screws to Murdoch. Fox is just another state run media outlet.
