Not me!! I want us out of NATO. To heck with the Ukraine. We’re broke to the tune of a trillion dollars. Time to take care of our own interests instead of playing world policeman.
Just because Americans support something doesn’t mean it’s the prudent thing to do.
Ignorance can be a dangerous thing.
Amazing how EFFECTIVE the media is considering that Russia will almost certainly use all means at its disposal to PREVENT Ukraine from joining NATO. Perhaps they should ask Americans if they’re ready to deal with the implications of that happening?
(But thank-you very much for asking.)
Did the poll ask the respondents what NATO was?
“We’re broke to the tune of a trillion dollars.”
I think it’s 32 trillion dollars.
I wonder how many FReepers do???
Its all about manipulating people and framing.
I dare them to follow up with another question: “If Ukraine joins NATO, would you be willing to send yourself or a family member to fight Russia to defend Ukraine.”
Tell me the percentages then.
The majority of Americans are not informed enough to make a wise decision.
Just like ‘most Americans wanted’ Joe Biden over DJT in the ‘20 election.
“Just because Americans support something doesn’t mean it’s the prudent thing to do.
Ignorance can be a dangerous thing.”
We don’t even know if this survey is real. Would they invent these words without any basis at all?
Absolutely, nothing they say can be trusted anymore.
Not on FR. A lot of folks here want to feed Ukraine to the Mongol Horde.
So it the Ukraine joins I can assume the military will exceed its recruitment goals ? Since obviously Americans are just so excited about yet another war ?
we should of withdrawn from NATO membership about 5 years after the breakup of the Soviet Union. the fact that NATO still exist and the western bankers helped the reestablishment of the oglarch system of czarist Russia is the reason that Putin was able to rise to power.
Nope.
Why would any American taxpayer want another leach to join NATO? Especially the famously corrupt Ukraine.
The USA already pays the biggest share to NATO, and does all the heavy lifting when it comes to equipment and troops.
When the Soviet Union ended, we promised the Russians no expansion of NATO. But, the greedy bastards involved with it decided NATO couldn't exist without expansion and didn't care about the consequences.
> It’s all about manipulating people and framing. <
Right. A fairer question might be: Would you support Ukraine joining NATO, knowing that this would increase the chances of a major war?
