Anheuser-Busch’s top executive on Friday offered an apology flatter than a day-old Bud Light as the beer giant reels from the backlash over its sponsorship deal with controversial transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney.
“We never intended to be part of a discussion that divides people,” Anheuser-Busch InBev CEO Brendan Whitworth said.
“We are in the business of bringing people together over a beer.”
Whitworth’s statement made no mention of the sponsorship deal with Mulvaney — which has led to calls for a boycott of the nation’s largest beer company.
He also didn’t address reports that senior executives were kept in the dark about the Mulvaney rollout.

...and the po-lice and blacks have never been closer.
This is how you “apologize” when you are terrified of the alphabet mob
Intelligence community is/are pure evil unconstitutional oath breaking traitors.
ah yes, brings back memories of the “Beer Summit” with Obama.
This is undoubtedly a statement written by a group of corporate affairs and legal employees, reviewed by 5 levels of management and then handed to the CEO. And instead of recognizing it’s complete gibberish and demanding a forthright statement, he ran with it.
If I were the board of directors I’d be firing the CEO, not specifically due to the issue but rather because it reveals a total lack of leadership, from start to finish.
The stock markets were down about a 1/3rd of a point, while AB stock was up about a 1/3rd. This country is truly drunk on being woke.

Like their ‘beer’.
Just like their bee...Nah, too easy.
Less talking, more firing.
A $5 BILLION loss of market value in less than 2 weeks? I think we got their attention. I don’t think A-B, an in turn InBev, is going to recover from that for a while.
Wow - Harvard Business School - lots of brains, not a lick of common sense.
Yeah, this CEO is full of his own product. They all knew. This was approved at the highest level, esp. considering the extreme impact it’s had and this moron diversity executive is still employed.
Who else woulda won that bet?
smh
Deep state beer...oh boy...
That wasn’t an apology. It wasn’t anything
that was a cheap word salad.
A spokesperson for the St. Louis-based beermaker told Patch that several other
facilities across the country also received bomb threats."
Ah yes, the old turnabout victim label using anonymous bomb threats.
Unless they fire the woke snot behind the SNAFU then they learned nothing.
Attach a free mask with each bottle and the Liberals would stock up. They are still driving alone with masks on.
