The son of FedEx shooting victim Jaswinder Singh is suing American Tactical, Inc., over the use of one of their ammunition magazines during the April 15, 2021, shooting.

Four people were killed in the incident when the gunman opened fire in the parking lot, then four more people were killed when the gunman entered the facility and shot more.

The Associated Press noted that Singh’s son is suing over American Tactical’s marketing tactics, claiming that the company has an obligation to seek controls over who can buy their products.

Not in CaCaLand. The Fed law prohibits this. But, the new law out thisaway pays people to file suits. All they have to do is say that the company influenced minors to buy — and the suit will go forward. Win or lose, they get tax $$. $$ which eventually come from all 50 states.

Once Newsome becomes next Pres this will intensify.

It doesn’t matter - are you familiar with dram shop law? They will hold anyone and everyone responsible that they can, including the liquor store. Whoever has the money - deep pockets.

“Strict” product liability is what’s really at stake here too. Welfare for lawyers. They’ll sue the car manufacturers for DUIs for example.

I forget, have people sued fast-food joints for causing obesity and heart problems yet or was that just a story in The Onion?

Here is the thing: Loser pays legal bills. So, who is paying these high bills just to harass the manufacturer. Drag their ass into court too!

Not here in the U.S. under most circumstances. The ABA has fought tooth and nail to prevent such tort reform.

I have no respect for people who do this, and they DON’T get a pass because one of their relatives got killed.

They’re money-grubbing scum. Or worse.

These types of lawsuits are frivolous and should be rejected as such. It is no different than suing Kia and others for poor car security. They sell a product, not a license to use in a particular way. Instead, the lawsuits should be against the people misusing or stealing these items.

this is despicable.

the loser pays their own legal bills, but not yours if you win. I guess you could counter sue to get your legal expenses back.

“claiming that the company has an obligation to seek controls over who can buy their products.”

I wonder how he figures that the company can ‘control’ who buys their products?

Some people are simply too dumb for words.
