A new video from the Trump War Room shows how Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is following in the footsteps of failed neocon losers like John McCain and Mitt Romney.
A recent talking point used by DeSantis, comparing the country of Russia to a “gas station” for some bizarre reason, was taken directly from the mouth of McCain, who used the line as he pushed for Western intervention in the country that has eventually led to this terrible war costing thousands of lives and billions in U.S. taxpayer dollars.

It should come as no surprise that DeSantis is recycling neocon clichés and talking points to push a more aggressive, ‘America Last’ foreign policy considering who is bankrolling him.

Hysterical. Go ahead and toss two-thirds of the vote for foreign tyrants who’ve been threatening to nuke us for decades while trying to build up to do it and forming evil alliances. See where that gets you.
He’s a neocon who thinks he can win the primary championing a few social issues but he’s going to find out differently. His treacherous will not be forgotten.
The “Russia is a gas station with nukes” is a clever insult but entirely wrong.
Which country launched the 1st satellite? Put the 1st man into space? On whose space station did the rest of the world operate for decades? What country built the Tsar Bomba? Hypersonic missiles that are now proven to work in actual combat? Literature anyone? Music? Opera/Ballet?
It is this kind of myopic and egotistical mindset that blinds people to rational thinking.
We consistently underestimate the russkies to our own peril.
Let’s toss in defeating Hitler in WW2, without russia would’ve been impossible, for good measure.
In trying to distance himself from Trump, DS finds solace in the two recent failed GOP nominees: McCain 2008 and Romney 2012.
DS seems very cozy with the establishment GOP.
The more DeSantis speaks the more he sounds like John McCain and Mitt Romney.
Bet the bookie takes odds on sleeper act.
It’s incredible to me how DeSantis has destroyed his candidacy in only a few days.
He goes through a list of the dumbest things McCain and Lindsey have said on foreign policy, and copies that. This one in particular is spectacularly stupid and counterproductive. Anyone who is impressed by this is just a moron.
Then he mocks with derision the political prosecution of Trump, as if he of course would never be subject to that.
A prosecution that seeks to discourage any conservative with integrity ever running for office. A prosecution that puts in doubt our right to vote for who we want.
Who is he allying himself with? Deepstate donor class and senators? Terrible, terrible.
The man is a corrupt neocons unworthy of Federal office.
I wish these Morons would stop trying to resurrect Juan McLame.
I have suspected all along that he doesn’t want to run in 2024, and he knows he is much better positioned for a 2028 run after he has served two full terms as governor of Florida. 2024 is way too soon for someone who has just been re-elected, and he knows it.
The problem is that he’s flat broke, relatively speaking … so if his handlers and financial backers tell him to run in 2024, he has no choice but to do whatever the hell he’s told to do.
This is the risk you run when you hang your fortunes on a lawyer who has never worked outside government in his life.
They are just upset because Russia won’t fill up their trannie-car.
The only things left for him to say are that he’s “severely conservative” and that he’ll repeal ObamaCare.

I’m old enough to remember when candidates would say something like: “After further thought, I’ve decided to not run”.
...rather than having to make that decision after making an idiot of oneself in the process.
