Steven Spielberg warns 'overt' anti-Semitism in U.S. as bad as 1930s Nazi Germany

Director Steven Spielberg warned that "overt" anti-Semitism in the United States mirrors that of Nazi Germany in the 1930s, leading up to the systematic extermination of six million Jews in the Holocaust.

"I find it very, very surprising," Spielberg told late-night host Stephen Colbert in an interview aired Friday.

"Anti-Semitism has always been there," he said. "It's either been just around the corner and slightly out of sight but always lurking, or it has been much more overt like in Germany in the '30s."

Spielberg lost relatives in the Holocaust and used his profits from the film "Schindler's List" to form the non-profit Shoah Foundation to document Holocaust survivors' testimonies.

"But not since Germany in the '30s have I witnessed anti-Semitism no longer lurking, but standing proud with hands on hips like Hitler and Mussolini, kind of daring us to defy it," he warned in "The Late Show" interview. "I've never experienced this in my entire life, especially in this country.

"Somehow in 2014, 2015, 2016, hate became a kind of membership to a club that has gotten more members than I ever thought was possible in America," he said. "And hate and anti-Semitism go hand in hand; you can't separate one from the other."

Spielberg was born in 1946 and was not yet born in the 'thirties.

He gives not one example of this "hands-on-hip anti-Semitism."

If it were true, he would have.

I am going to call bs on his claim. Jews are treated good and don’t see any harm brought to them.

He is trying to play a victim card like the blacks and other non-white guys.

90% of it is coming from Black Democrats. How will Steven remedy that one?

It has become more pronounced with blacks and muslims, both in the Democrat Party. It is no where near Germany in the 1930s, though.

“Munich”. I didn’t care for the misgivings Eric Bana had in the movie concerning his ‘victims’. Then there were the scenes involving all that gourmet cooking. Did the CIA cowardly work against his team just to keep American diplomats from being victims? Too many questionable ‘facts’. Now he’s running with antisemitism. It’s like Biden visiting Selma. All B.S.

He’s a Hollywood nutball.

3 years ago, his daughter declared that she was acting in porn movies, and that doing porn was "healing."

One wonders what went on the Spielberg house?

That’s not hyperbole. That’s hate speech. But hate speech is OK when they do it.

Ah yes. He makes his so-called case by comparing it to Hitler’s Nazi Germany yet offers no examples.

Exaggeration is a fashion statement these days.

Well Steve this is just ignorant. Pick up a book and read about real antisemitism in Europe 1850 leading up to WWII.

He should emigrate to Israel if he feels so threatened. The Deep State there loves to bring in wealthy anti-religious Jews, as well as Third World cheap labor.

Sure, there is still anti-semitism, but it’s low grade compared to 30 or 50 years ago.

Oh, I think there is plenty of anti-Semitism in this country.

But that anti-Semitism is coming from people who side with the Democrat Party. Most from those who are Black &/or Muslim. He will never say that factoid.

The “overt” anti-Semitism you see in the United States emanates from the vile, hate-filled, evil Demonic Party you've been supporting for 50 years, you dumbass. Reap > Sow > Moron.

I have seen JEWWWSSSS thrown out of jobs, losing their businesses, being accosted on the streets by White American males.

You mean that kind of proof? Frankly, the Jews are royalty in the Western world.

They reached that position by the way that blacks say whites have. Jew privilege. If that statement is anti-semitic, then I wear the shirt proudly.

The elite Jews support each other as a race first, then fill in the gaps with those pre-determined to be acceptable. There really is no white privilege anymore, although back in the days before the 1950’s there was. Though I was born then, I never benefitted from it. Quite the contrary, when it came my time to get the job I could retire from, and was well qualified for, out of 11 hires, they took 6 veterans, 3 of those black and 5 women. Hey, it was the 70’s man. They really needed lady machinists at the NUWES.

There seems to be a Jew privilege though. Do they hate Asians as a rule, or just fear their superior mental capacity? Wait until black Americans figure out it should be the Jews who have been keeping them down.

Turned it around on them quite nicely? I think I did. I think it is THEY who are stirring up the coloreds, just like they did in the Bolshevik revolution. Always societal revolutionaries and experimenters with humans. Why is that?

"But not since Germany in the '30s have I witnessed anti-Semitism no longer lurking, but standing proud with hands on hips like Hitler and Mussolini, kind of daring us to defy it," he warned in "The Late Show" interview.

I bet that, if pressed to identify in what ethnic groups there is a preponderance of anti-Semitism in America, Spielberg would hem and haw, and then finally say, "Amongst non-Jews."

He would never dare mention the anti-Semitism prevalent amongst, say, Muslims or Blacks.

Regards,
