Horrific footage released by police shows a wheelchair-bound woman slurring and pleading with police as she is arrested for refusing to leave hospital, just moments before she died from a stroke in the back of a cop car.
Knoxville Police have released their body camera video of the harrowing incident which happened at Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center, in Tennessee, on February 6.
Lisa Edwards, 60, had been refusing to leave the hospital and was arrested on trespassing charges when she died in the back of the police cruiser – minutes after telling cops 'you're going to kill me'.
The footage shows Lisa being taken into custody, gasping and wheezing before she tells officers that she 'can't breathe'. Her skin becomes grayer, and her voice more slurred as the footage continues. The latter is a well-known symptom of a stroke.
Authorities released the hour and 16-minute video with a warning that some of the video may be distressing.

i have no words...
The purpose of the “Health Care System” is not health care, it is registration, surveillance and control.
Back the blue? Yeah...sure. When they police their own.
Too bad she wasn’t an illegal alien. The hospital would have taken good care of her...and it wouldn’t have cost her a thing.
This is such a needless death.
The police need to be better trained to recognize the warning signs.
That poor lady!
BUT, the HOSPITAL is WORSE!
Did THEY not suspect she might be having a stroke?
EVERYBODY involved in this is responsible for this.
If this was my Mom or Gramma, I would sue them so bad, they wouldn’t have a pair of underpants left to put on by the time I was done!
“I can’t breathe” comes to mind
Sounds like a good opportunity to make everyone involved get the death penalty.
I forgot to add "bootlicking," and "tyrant ass kissing zombies" to the list.
I guess her insurance ran out.
At least they didn’t throw her to the ground and tase her.
This would be a major story if she were a different race.
Two questions:
1. If she was in distress why was she not admitted and cared for? That is the law.
2. If the cops removed her from the hospital it can only be done by the request of the hospital unless she was doing something illegal.
What the hell really happened?
Actually you are 100% correct.
In this case way more appropriate too with regards to the injustice that untrained or poorly trained police exhibit.
I am heartbroken, and I didn’t even know her! How her family must feel...
Why the %#>”$÷,’ybssjcgnsvtb was the hospital telling her to leave? How long had she been waiting in the ER?
And why was there no medical person watching over her for that hour that the police were trying to get her into the van? Maybe a medical person would have realized that she was in medical distress.
I just cannot believe this... that poor woman and her poor family...
Praying for them all.
Yep, there is plenty of blame to go around here.
Thank GOD she wasn’t black. There would be the worst race riots since Floyd happening. It is sick and sad to watch. She is clearly impaired from having a stroke.
“ This would be a major story if she were a different race.”
B I N G O !
What really happened? Whatever it was, I suspect it has opened the hospital up to humongous damages in a lawsuit.
