What happened in East Palestine, Ohio is being called the worst environmental disaster in American history and the Biden administration is mostly ignoring it. Now members of congress are calling for Pete Buttigieg to be impeached.

“impeached”
I see no criminal liability with respect to Pete.
There is no criminal basis to impeach a bumbling executive fool.
This may be the biggest environmental disaster since Chernobyl.
Bigger than the Exxon Valdez or Deepwater Horizon?
Evidence please
“A hot box is the term used when an axle bearing overheats on a piece of railway rolling stock.”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hot_box
“Most of the larger railroads use defect detectors to scan passing trains for hot box conditions. Some of these detectors also have ‘automated mile posts’ which send an automated radio signal to the train crew listing the train number, track number, number of axles on the train and train speed.”
If “the owner of the freight car” knew of the defect, they would have primary responsibility I believe.
So, I guess river navigators are the latest assault on property rights.
We own property on a federally protected river.
The state wants to further “protect” it by developing a state park so that
masses of people from all over can enjoy it and float its pristine waters.
They also want to stop the access of local cattle farms to the river for their cattle.
Personally, I prefer the cattle.
Phosgene gas can kill people.
No. The fire resultd from packing being inadequate, not who knew what. Bearing packings are supposed to be checked every so often in accordance with a protocal. Who does the checking can be complicated. The car owner normally subs this to some transportation company. Tracking cars is complicated as is designating when and where the car will be checked. It will take a long time to figure it out. The process will begin with determining the travel and operational history of the car for the last several months. I suppose all railcars are now equipped with RFRID tags so the first step will be less time consuming than in the past. NS was just trying to knock out residuial law suits by sending checks that had have a tort action waiver signed to cash. Pretty common as the personal injury lawyers will try and make this a combination of the Abestos racket and the Horizon 6 event.
So says Chad.
See post 15.
Which gov’t agency do you work for, Chad?
Calling this BS...and, mocking those who are bringing attention to this disaster....that the MSM refuses to do.
Telling.
Well, Michael Regan isn’t white but he does a damn good imitation
of Baghdad Bob.
The entire EPA should be abolished. They should start over from scratch with real scientists instead of bureaucratic slugs.
You can’t impeach him, but somebody can sneak some Super Glue into his Vaseline jar. 😜
So says Chad. (15). Telling.
Perhaps Chad would be interested in purchasing some houses in East Palestine, Ohio, to show good faith.
Thanks for linking redacted
They do a decent job
And yet food is plebtiful....
plebtifuk=plentiful
What is the 30-minute “delay” for?
Norfolk Southern is liable as well. They are the company owner, any carrier is a contractor and hired/paid for NS, therfore, they have direct liability.
When will people wake up that democrats want to murder us and they do not care what tool they use or what collatoral damage it creates?
I guess the useful idiots will never wake up.
