Tucker Carlson Sounds the Alarm: 'Many People Are Going to Die Because of This' (video)

On Tuesday night, Fox News host Tucker Carlson drew attention to the dark side of the left’s prioritization of equity over merit in corporate hiring decisions. And nowhere is this growing trend more frightening — and potentially deadly — than in the airline industry.

In the video below, he pointed out that airlines are “dramatically lowering hiring standards for pilots and for air traffic controllers” and warned that “at some point, many people are going to die” as a result.

Carlson described several “near disasters” that have occurred in just the past few months that should have all Americans concerned about the aviation industry’s adoption of these new standards.

Last Wednesday, for example, a United Airlines flight was just about to touch down at George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston, Texas, when a second plane began taxiing right into its path. The United pilot then “aborted the landing so dramatically that people on board were terrified.”

Carlson read an account of the situation written by a veteran United Airlines pilot in December. He provided some chilling details about the consequences of the airlines’ walk on the woke side.

Also if you do not think this is a problem you are being incredibly naive. I teach for a living in the industrial field, the hiring practices very much push woke over merit and the standards have bene massively reduced. I have even bene “coached” for pointing out we barely achieve a minimum level of competence anymore, was told the programs have been reviewed by cooperate and not to challenge their effectiveness.

"Equity" for pilots and air traffic controllers needs to be mandated to private plane pilots and DC airports first. After a few years these 'ideas' can be moved out into the hinterlands..

I count those three as open evidence of a breakdown in leadership and standards in the US Navy.

Thanks for the link...I was a bit puzzled when he was talking about the Buffalo crash back in 2009 and I was reading the document they were scrolling through, and saw the phrase “failure to adhere to a sterile cockpit procedure” and I had no idea what that meant.

I an aviation buff (and former jet mechanic in another life) so I was well versed and interested in accident investigations and analysis, so I intuited accurately what it meant, but had to look it up.

It just gave me pause for a few seconds...

We just had a super bowl where the best players of one team played the best players of another. Players were only chosen according to their ability - no “prioritization of equity”, diversity, or inclusion – only according to their merit. We all know what would happen if one team’s players had been chosen by equity over merit. If this “prioritization of equity” continues, we will see disaster in every arena, whether it be in aviation, sports, business, education, law enforcement, government, or anyplace else . . . Call it the Wokenization of America.
