Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) called a speech by Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ahead of the vote for next House speaker "bulls***" on Tuesday.
The word slipped out after McCarthy attempted to unite the party during a meeting of the House GOP conference, with Boebert muttering "this is bulls***" under her breath. A Boebert official said it was not yelled or spoken into a microphone, according to Fox News.
Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), who has vowed not to vote for McCarthy for speaker, said the whole meeting was tense and hostile.
"The meeting was very hostile, and I don’t think it did anything to persuade those who are inclined to vote against Kevin McCarthy," Good told Fox News.
I heard that the Republicans like Crenshaw are cuttin deals right now to nominate Liz Cheney, Paul Ryan, another guy whose name I forgot and will even vote for a Democrat like Hakeem. This is not going well, IMHO.

That possibility has been out there for a few weeks now. One big reason MTG has been so adamant to vote in McCarthy as early as possible.

For God’s sake JIM JORDAN just renominated Kevin. What more do these holdouts want?
The Dems are certainly enjoyong this.
All McCarthy has to do is move to the right. Why won’t he? Those not voting for him are NOT going to vote for a Dem.
The GOP has been sliding left for 30 years. Correct back to the right. Is that too much to ask?

Crenshaw called it right - Conservative Republicans have declared war on their colleagues and have made themselves the enemy to no purpose.
There are going to be some very bitter people on all sides when the dust settles at a time when Republicans need to unite.
There are two possible outcomes here
The first is a McCarthy Speakership voted in with a Democrat coalition who will become the power brokers in the House.
The second is another Speaker who is far worse than McCarthy
Or Jim Jordan.
If the GOPE is that stupid and THEY ARE, they’ve thrown 2 elections already, then so let it be written, so let it be done.

Fully agree. I was just pointing out he could measure a deal easily of her wants to. I don’t trust McCarthy at all. But he isn’t trying to make a deal, he’s trying to get conservatives to kiss the ring.
Jim Jordan has ZERO chance of being Speaker.
