Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO) called a speech by Republican leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) ahead of the vote for next House speaker "bulls***" on Tuesday.
The word slipped out after McCarthy attempted to unite the party during a meeting of the House GOP conference, with Boebert muttering "this is bulls***" under her breath. A Boebert official said it was not yelled or spoken into a microphone, according to Fox News.
Rep. Bob Good (R-VA), who has vowed not to vote for McCarthy for speaker, said the whole meeting was tense and hostile.
"The meeting was very hostile, and I don’t think it did anything to persuade those who are inclined to vote against Kevin McCarthy," Good told Fox News.

Good for Lauren. McCarthy desperately needs something form MAGA. We will never get more from McCarthy than **right now** when we have him by the short and curlies.

I just heard on the news a few minutes ago that McCarthy didn’t get the votes.
It’s a deal in progress. If he gets what he wants before he HAS to give us what we want, we will never get anything more. When you buy a house, after the seller agrees to your terms, do you go back and do *more* for them in the deal later?
Stick it to him. GOPe needs to hold it’s nose this time. All he has to do is agree to the conservatives very reasonable demands.
It takes 218 votes to become Speaker (as I understand it) so there is zero risk of a Democrat becoming Speaker without some Republican votes. I support the holdouts.

Never underestimate moderate Rinos ability to switch sides. Jeffries only needs 6 Rinos to defect.
Nope. Jeffries needs a MAJORITY, which he wont get because the republicans are now the Majority. It will likely be Mc squishy or another milk toast “get along” repuke.
