Crenshaw called it right - Conservative Republicans have declared war on their colleagues and have made themselves the enemy to no purpose.
There are going to be some very bitter people on all sides when the dust settles at a time when Republicans need to unite.
There are two possible outcomes here
The first is a McCarthy Speakership voted in with a Democrat coalition who will become the power brokers in the House.
The second is another Speaker who is far worse than McCarthy
Or Jim Jordan.

Agree. BUT, McCarthy knew a long time ago that these members would not vote for him and therefore, he did not have the 218 votes. Throughout history, whenever this has happened the Speaker-Elect did the honorable thing and withdrew their name from the nomination process. McCarthy refused a month or so ago to do so and is doubling down now when he has less votes. This is on him too—he is not entitled to the Speakership and others felt that he was not the right person for the job. Nothing wrong with that. McCarthy refused to accept the truth.
