I've told people this was coming. They are going to restrict YOUR travel while they travel freely. Less road congestion and easier to control the people.

Perhaps it would be best if everyone were just in SuperMax. Then we wouldn’t do bad stuff our masters don’t like.

So that means that if you “borrow” one of the elites for a while and tie them…I mean, “restrain them for their safety” in your car, then you can drive as far as you want. Sort of like using a dummy in the passenger seat to drive in the HOV lane.

And yet there are still people (not saying you) who believe this won't come upon the Earth. If Covid-1984 didn't show someone how quickly the world can change, I don't know what would. And it was (and often still IS) GLOBAL.

There will be a real estate boom for properties located just outside the city limits.

In fact, there might be a boom just in parking spot condominiums where you can keep a non-Oxford auto just outside the city.

NYC has forever tried to ban cars in Manhattan. Never caught on though.

Paris has a ban on cars. We'll see how that works out.

Paris Will Ban Through Traffic in City Center

I used to live near there. Beautiful area. Time for them to rise up. Convoy over to Milton Keens and get a Big Mac and chocolate shake. The chocolate shakes are actually better than ours.

...Mostly, though, it will reduce liberty, which is what climate change madness has always been about.

At first I thought the CO2 scam was created by dictators in funny hats as a means of getting into American pockets. Then it became clear it is a way to get the West to sabotage itself. The loss of liberty part is simply another way to appeal to Democrats. This 1890 grave of Nathaniel Grigsby actually has the whole story written in stone!

Hooray for serious intellectuals. But these hypochondriac eggheads in Oxford, UK are tieing themselves up in knots. They have joined the self-flagellation cult of global warming. Los Penitentes come to mind.

They crave order and discipline (which is OK) but they chose the wrong kind

Check out the non-denial denial from the local government.

Joint statement from Oxfordshire County Council and Oxford City Council on Oxford’s traffic filters

More info from a local paper.

https://www.oxfordmail.co.uk/news/23073992.traffic-filters-will-divide-city-15-minute-neighbourhoods/

ROAD blocks stopping most motorists from driving through Oxford city centre will divide the city into six “15 minute” neighbourhoods, a county council travel chief has said.

And he insisted the controversial plan would go ahead whether people liked it or not.

The environmental dictatorship is showing its ugly face more and more.

Agenda 21. If you have never looked it up before, do so now.

The push toward electric vehicles - which are as everybody knows great polluters, though the pollution is in another part of the world so that’s okay - is to restrict the main part of humanity from leaving the population centers, i.e., the cities. The people are all to be squeezed into urban high-rises where we can be managed and controlled more efficiently. Travel beyond the urban zone will be strictly curtailed.

The State will manage agricultural lands because farmers always eff everything up. (Communism HATES the agrarians.)

Think “Judge Dredd.”

Meanwhile, our pals in Communist China are cooking up newer, better, more virulent and more devastating diseases so that in the future, they won’t have to use water cannons or cattle prods on pesky citizens who are tired of all the BS.

In 1992, Rush Limbaugh appeared on ABC's Nightline to engage in a debate with Al Gore regarding Gore's charge, in his then-new book Earth in the Balance, that the earth was facing imminent climate death. After Gore blathered on "a global ecological crisis that is more serious than anything human civilization has ever faced," Rush cut to the heart of the matter:

The environmental movement as fueled by the militants who lead it, I think, is the new home of socialism. I think it is. They've adopted a constituency here which can't speak -- that is trees and rocks and so forth -- and can't reject the so-called help and concern that the advocates are giving it, and gives them a stage from which to constantly launch attacks at capitalism.

Reminds me of

Daniel 5
3 Then they brought the golden vessels that were taken out of the temple of the house of God which was at Jerusalem; and the king, and his princes, his wives, and his concubines, drank in them.
4 They drank wine, and praised the gods of gold, and of silver, of brass, of iron, of wood, and of stone.

I can hear the sounds of violins
Long before it begins:

Kinnor

Kinnor (Hebrew: כִּנּוֹר‎ kīnnōr) is an ancient Israelite musical instrument in the yoke lutes family, the first one to be mentioned in the Hebrew Bible.

Its exact identification is unclear, but in the modern day it is generally translated as "harp" or "lyre",[1]: 440  and associated with a type of lyre depicted in Israelite imagery, particularly the Bar Kokhba coins.[1]: 440  It has been referred to as the "national instrument" of the Jewish people,[2] and modern luthiers have created reproduction lyres of the kinnor based on this imagery.

The word has subsequently come to mean violin in Modern Hebrew.

What Is the Significance of King David’s Harp?

It is *always* midnight in David's house because midnight oil is not sold in stores. Establishment housing and "living" schemes for your own good? It's a trap.

Travel (aka, freedom of movement) is something that particularly seems to bother our masters.

I was on a fairly long flight yesterday which had the going-beautiful-places-and-doing-fun-things ads that some airlines show when their entertainment systems start up, while behind it the voiceover text proclaimed how happy everybody was to have “the privilege of travel” again.

It’s not a privilege, it’s a right. But the CCP/Covid shutdown and trusting lack of resistance to it showed governments how easy it is to turn our rights into privileges, which may or may not be granted to us - at the discretion of the government.
