This is a topnotch example of psychobabble. Utterly useless unfalsifiable nonsense. But then all psychology is nonsense. People foolishlybthink that psychologists understand human behavior. They absolutely do not. It is one big con game.
“For example, women may look at a surface and see an implied action — ‘to be wiped’ — whereas men may just observe a crumb-covered countertop.”
For example, men may look at a lawn and see an implied action — ‘to be mown even though it is 95 degrees outside’ — whereas women may just see a field to drive past on the way to their AC cooled home.
...
It’s not training..
It’s natural to the male and female mind.
The trick is to learn what the other thinks like and accommodate them as much as possible IOW, men can brush up their crumbs and toss them in the trash or at least the sink, when they make a mess.
Making a mess and expecting others to clean up after you is rude at best.

I am much neater than my wife. I hate clutter. She’s essentially a hoarder.
BS. The wife and I were married for 37 years until she passed. We never had a list of “Mine” and “Yours”. We saw something needed to be done and we did it. Both of us being Army NCOs probably had a lot to do with that.
In breaking news:
Men and Women are Different.
And they cannot exchange places.
Oh, wait, that’s the new definition of Fascism...
Seems like another “man is stupid” hit piece by yet another feminazi.

A post about house work!
My theory - even boys who live alone would hire a house keeper, if they could afford one.
I’ve been saying this for years, that women bitch about WHEN or the frequency with which men wash dishes rather than WHETHER. I tell my wife “If you don’t want to wash dishes, leave them, sooner or later I’ll wash them”…just as I always have since I moved out of the family my home.
No! Really? Shocking!
My wife drove her car for a week with a fallen branch snagged on the undercarriage. I got in and moved it about ten feet before I checked out the scraping noise and pulled the branch free. I asked her if she hadn’t heard the awful noise. She said she did but thought it was “just something cars did”
We’re different like that.
Interesting.
I guess that according to this premise, I’m a woman. My housekeeping habits, cleanliness and attention to detail is far greater than the current or any former wife or girlfriend.
It takes time, like working out a budget or the general rules for childcare or in-law visits; but if they are of good will, they will both make the effort to sort it out.
