Believe it or not, gas prices are trading in the right direction. That direction is DOWN. The gas prices are possibly going to go under $3 on a national average soon, according to GasBuddy. In fact, gas at a couple of Western New York gas stations is $2.95 or less.

GasBuddy, the popular website that pinpoints gas stations and their gas prices, reports that the national gas price is down to about $3.50. That is over 22 cents from when it was last month.

Yep, as the recession deepens and inflation rocks family spending, this is expected.

OF COURSE...

the communist Obiden administration opened up drilling for VENESUELAN CRUDE.

They wouldnt think of domestic production. They only favor drilling when it benefits his communist dictator buddies.

NYS, with some of the highest fuel taxes in the country, has gas prices below the national average????

Would be interesting to see the figures on gas consumption.

Has consumption dropped enough to cause a small temporary glut in supply.

I’ve been very careful on unnecessary travel lately. I’ll wait another week to see if I should fill up all my vehicles and 5 gallon cans.

In what direction are numerous economic indicators pointing?

Is there a real estate bubble in the US and China?
Anyone know the last three quarters of China’s GDP?
What exposure to housing do BlackRock, Vanguard, REITs, etc have?
How are Credit Suisse and Deutsche Bank doing?
TSMC cut production by 50%.
Feel free to add more wonderful news.

Believe it or not FOOD prices in grocery stores are STILL trading in the WRONG direction and getting higher. Gas price is not the only indicator of a Biden induced failed economy. Last report had 100,000 LESS people needing to go to work and use gas because those jobs were LOST.

Nowadays I just kinda glide by the meat aisle like my wife and I used to do when we were out on a Sunday just looking at homes we COULD NOT AFFORD and dreaming of ‘some day.’

That's what I was thinking, as well:

Gasoline Demand (million barrels per day)

The last chart on the page shows consumption down approx .5 million barrels per day, compared to same period last year - about a 17% drop.

Western NY isn’t “NY” and hasn’t been for decades. It tipped over into the Midwest decades ago.

I wonder if that is at the Seneca Indian Nation gas stations off route 20 I stopped at many years ago.

No NY tax.

I know there have been fights between the Senecas and NY over that since, hope the Indians won.

One easy way to cut back on expenses is to plan your daily errands so as to reduce unnecessary mileage. A months worth of more efficient trips can save a lot of money at the pump.

I stopped by Home Depot yesterday to buy a couple bags of salt crystals for my water softener. Three weeks ago a 40 lb
bag was selling for $4.99. Yesterday it had jumped to over $9.00. Also, a case of Deer Park spring water has gone fom 3.99 to $7.49. There is no inflation/s

This is not a function of domestic production. The US is not the beneficiary of this increase in availability. Price is a function of supply and demand.
Increased prices decreased demand. Now with communist and totalitarian regimes increasing oil production with the confidence and support of the Biden administration their GNP is dramatically increasing, their evil grip on their people is strengthened, and prices at the pump are dropping, for now.
We are witnessing the corruption of criminal cabals as they tighten their grip on national economies. As the US becomes ever more enveloped by immorality taxation becomes horrifying for middle and low earners and especially those who cherish traditional values. Increasing criminal enforcement of taxation by government tyrants more than offsets sporadic lower fluctuations in the cost of goods and services.
It is the perfect formula for a tyrannical government. “Look how we are lowering the costs of products you need to survive. And, yes, we are going after those cheaters who are stealing from the government by not paying their fair share of taxes.”
If this is too great a leap, you are not paying attention. The latest number I have seen is 87,000 new revenue agents armed and qualified willing to act with violence in pursuance of their duties. Enforcers, the key to criminal control.

I'm here and I doubt it - unless one of the Indian Reservations 20+ miles from downtown Buffalo is cutting rates. The Indian Reservation I visited last week was at $3.34/gallon.

Average prices at stations at busy intersections is $3.60-$3.75/gallon
