Earlier this month, former President Trump said that Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) should be impeached if he backs a plan for the debt ceiling to be eliminated over fears that House Republicans could cause the U.S. to default on the nation’s credit.
When asked by conservative radio host John Fredericks about chatter surrounding the possibility of Congress effectively eliminating the debt limit, the former president lambasted the idea.
On Sunday, following the Democrat’s win and maintaining Senate control, Trump went on the attack.
“It’s Mitch McConnell’s fault. Spending money to defeat great Republican candidates instead of backing Blake Masters and others was a big mistake,” Trump said Sunday. “Giving 4 Trillion Dollars to the Radical Left for the Green New Deal, not Infrastructure, was an even bigger mistake. He blew the Midterms, and everyone despises him and his otherwise lovely wife, Coco Chow.”
With Democrats maintaining Senate control, this keeps the path open for Biden to have his judicial and administrative appointments confirmed, even if the Republicans take the House majority.
Control of the US House still hangs in the balance and may not be determined for some time with ballots left to be counted in closely contested races in California, as well as other states.
On Saturday, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer said at a press conference, “The race is now called in Arizona and Nevada. Democrats will have a majority in the Senate and I will once again be Majority Leader. This election is a victory. A victory and a vindication for Democrats, our agenda for America, and for the American people, There are three things that helped the Senate secure the majority. One, our terrific candidates, two, our agenda and our accomplishments and three the American people rejected, the anti-democratic extremist MAGA Republicans.”

Does it ever occur to Never Trumpers that he uses a combination of, ‘Rules for Radicals’ and, ‘The Art of WAR’ as his bibles?
While it sounds FOREIGN to our ears, the Socialist LibTards have been using both against US for decades!
This IS War! What part of that is unclear?
He was never even close to Reaganesque. Not in terms of sunny happy personality (vs grumpy face), or brilliant reactionary cute jabs (vs attack-first childish name-calling), or even general communication.
Agreed 100%!
Trump, Trump, Trump, you realize that even if the party gets rid of Mitch as leader, you’re still going to have to deal with people like him. Best to think strategically. Throwing insults around is no three dimensional chess.
“Why is Trump not also attacking McCarthy for doing nothing about the 2022 Steal, knowing the Dems would do this again?”
Why does everyone assume Trump doesn’t have all the information on these people?
Unfortunately, I don’t think he is. I used to think people supported Trump despite his juvenile bullying of others. I’ve come to the conclusion they like him because of his cruelty.
I don’t think he’s turning off his base. He has turned off everyone else.
That’s complete BS! McConnell was discharged from the Army because he had lingering complications from polio and was asthmatic. Stop spreading your lies.
He won the nomination in 2016 by destroying all the rival candidates (none of whom would have been able to win the general election)—a lot of it by name-calling. But I don’t think it is going to work to clear the field of any potential rivals for 2024, although that may be his strategy, judging from his behavior the last week. We’ll have to see what his big announcement is on Tuesday.
wrong
its the perfect way....
You must get rid of the losers, liars, perverts and cheaters within... before you could ever hope to get rid of them without in the overall body politik... of the nation.
How do we know his wife isn’t a Chinese spy? Like the spy that old bimbo Feinstein used as a servant in CA?
I voted for him twice to keep HRC and Biden out of the presidency. We need a younger, smarter candidate for 2024. Just common sense.
..........................
Me too.
Look at TV in 1960 or now versus TV in 2000 or 2020, or America in 1940 and America now. One gave us Reagan, the other gave us Trump. You aren’t going to get a Reagan now, no more than an Eisenhower.
1. What do you think has happened already? Two hugely important elections were stolen by the Democrats with McConnell and McCarthy acquiescing to The Steals. Do you think 2024 will be any different?
2. I and millions of fellow Floridians voted for the best Governor ever. We hired him for a four year term. If he runs for POTUS, he will ne Governor for only one year. That is not in the best interest of Florida.
3. Which POTUS was as successful as Trump? Look at what Trump accomplished:
Gas price per gallon was about $2.30;
Inflation about 1.4%, mortgage rates were half of what they are now;
Unemployment was low before Covid and before Blue Governors shut everything
down and we were in the midst of a V-shape recovery until January 22, 2021;
Tax decrease; tax laws promoted small businesses as well as large;
US enjoyed energy independence - No Green Agenda, no war on energy, No Paris Treaty;
No war in Ukraine, no threat of nuclear war, NATO paid its way;
China was quiet and we were winning the trade war;
US companies were bringing home the jobs due to well executed tax treatments;
Peace in the Middle East aka Abraham Accords; US Embassy moved to Jerusalem; and Iran was isolated.
Got three non-left “I don't know what a woman is” Supreme Court Justices on the bench allowing Roe vs Wade to be overturned.
Who the heck can accomplish the above in four years while being impeached twice and investigated by Obama's Weaponized Agencies?
4. The Deep State, Democrats, RINOs and MSM have cost this country dearly.
Eliminate those OTHER candidates and the gap minimizes.
Furthermore, the real test is overall electability, not “primary” electability.
Trump is not stupid. If he is calling her “Coco Chow” she must internally be known by that name. That’s why it’s in quotes.
Why did Trump appoint her, like all the other bad decisions he made. He has zero dislpline.
i dont understand the nickname. Is he trying to say she is crazy by saying Coco.
by the way....this is not a new nickname. he was going it back in October
Bless you for this thread! I needed the catharsis, and the pearl-clutchers’ tears are like wine.
You must all have investments in China that have somehow survived the last two years.
Go Trump! And the rest of you can just GO!
Go, Trump, go! McConnell is the enemy. Don’t let the creampuffs and trolls discourage you!
