Russia, Having 'Run Out Of Missiles', Launches Barrage On Ukraine
Moon of Alabama ^ | October 10, 2022

Posted on 10/10/2022 8:53:33 AM PDT by Kazan

Back in March I had warned that Lies Do Not Win Wars. Here is another practical example.

After allegedly having 'run out of missiles' and, more importantly, patience, the leadership of the Russian Federation decided to de-electrify Ukrainian cities with a 'barrage of missile strikes'.

But first came the propaganda blubber:

Then a warning:

'We Haven't Started Yet,' Putin Says in Hawkish Speech on Ukraine Invasion - Haaretz - Jul 7, 2022

President Vladimir Putin said on Thursday that Russia had barely got started in Ukraine and dared the West to try to defeat it on the battlefield, while insisting that Moscow was still open to the idea of peace talks.

...

"Today we hear that they want to defeat us on the battlefield. What can you say, let them try," he said. "We have heard many times that the West wants to fight us to the last Ukrainian. This is a tragedy for the Ukrainian people, but it seems that everything is heading towards this."

... "Everyone should know that, by and large, we haven't started anything yet in earnest," he added. "At the same time, we don't reject peace talks. But those who reject them should know that the further it goes, the harder it will be for them to negotiate with us."

Russia Unleashes Biggest Barrage of Strikes on Ukraine Since Invasion - WSJ - Oct 10, 2022

Cities throughout Ukraine, including Kyiv, are bombarded after Putin slams Ukraine over Crimea bridge blast

KYIV, Ukraine—Russia carried out waves of strikes on several Ukrainian cities including the capital in the broadest and most intense onslaught since the start of the invasion, after President Vladimir Putin accused Ukraine of a “terrorist attack” on a critical bridge connecting Russia’s mainland to the occupied Crimean Peninsula.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said Russia had carried out dozens of strikes using missiles as well as Iranian-made drones to target civilian and power infrastructure. “They want panic and chaos,” he said. “They want to destroy our energy system.”

Ukraine "under missile attack" as explosions rock Kyiv and other cities - CBSNews - Oct 10, 2022

Kyrylo Tymoshenko, deputy head of the president's office, said on social media Monday that, "Ukraine is under missile attack. There is information about strikes in many cities of our country."

General Valeriy Zaluzhnyi, Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, said on Twitter that Russia had launched 75 missiles at Ukraine but that "41 of them were neutralized by our air defence."

Zelenskyy later emerged onto a street in Kyiv to record a selfie video with a message to his people and the world, denouncing Russia for the barrage of missiles which he said had targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, and its civilians.

Kiev, Lviv, Karkov, Dnipropetrovsk, Krivoy Rog all report damage to their electricity infrastructure.

So are you saying a park in the middle of Kiev had strategic value?

Or the nursery ward of a children's hospital

or the baby-milk factory

Or the kindergarten

Or the shelter for homeless puppies.

No doubt your list of targets will be endless.

Dumb missiles....If Russia really hit Zelensky’s office, then they were probably aiming at a nearby hospital or convalescent home or maybe an elementary school.

Lies Do Not Win Wars.

And neither will those missiles. They'll temporarily increase the misery of Ukrainian civilians, but the only long-lasting effect will be to make the Ukrainians hate Russia even more.

So if that was what Putin was going for, he likely achieved it.

Well if they run out they can always drag out a could of rusty old nukes and find out if they work. Wonder if they will give them a good paint job before using them.

I assume everything in the news about this thing is a lie. I think you’d be more accurate if you assumed the opposite of what they were telling you was true.

Russia, Having 'Run Out Of Missiles', Launches Barrage On Ukraine

Yes, fake!

Just as fake as the Ukrainians taking back territory and cities and towns which they had lost in the last 7 months.

Just as fake as the idea that Russia is running out of troops to send to the war, and was having to recruit from the ranks of the middle-age and elderly.

Just as fake as the Ukrainians bombing a strategic bridge between Russia and Crimea, which the Russians use to transport men and materials to the war front.

Just as fake as the Russians suffering over 100,000 killed or injured in the war.

Just as fake as the Russians suffering hundreds of billion in equipment losses in the war.

Just as fake as there being Russian supporters on FR who cannot stand all the fake reports coming out of the war.

Just as fake as the reports that Putin is becoming frustrated that the war isn't going according to plans.

Long live Putin! Long live Russia! ;)

Death to all the infidela! ;)

good, then we can finally get rid of the wide-spread lies that Russia "only wants peace" and "is a civilized country"

Russia discards no hardware. I have no doubt they still have some lend-lease tanks from WWII stored somewhere.

Perhaps. But hardware corrodes, rots, and/or gets stolen if not properly maintained and secured. So most of the Soviet era stuff they had stored somewhere is likely inoperable/useless.

It’s more of the same from an impotent Putin. He just keeps making a bigger and bigger mess while begging the west to force Ukraine to surrender.

You commenting online about this is fine. Free country and all that. The problem is more that decision makers in Ukraine seem to be making decisions based on this information. If they attacked Russian civilian infrastructure (and now Belarus) eith the assumption that there would be no response because Russia is out of missiles that’s completely irresponsible. They didnt seem successful in defense against their attack on a few bridges. That’s poor planning. If you’re going to attack you have to be prepared for the response. People are actually depending on you.

Putin has cancer. No, he’s dead. No his generals hate him. His people hate him too. Ukraine wins every battle. Russia is evil and Ukraine is good. Let’s give them the whole US treasury and see where the money goes...

The Ukey kooks will be here with their multiple accounts cheerleading every day for that dancing maniac and Biden. And they just use projection against anyone who disagrees with them like the other Alinsky disciples.

Ukrainians have vast experience with the Russian way of war and its fundamentally criminal nature. Whether that be carpet bombing civilian centers with rocket artillery or genocidally kidnapping thousands of Ukrainian children. That, my FRiend, is why they fight.

It was the same BS lies on aviation fuel, tanks, generals, food, ammo, you name it. Some of these morons will tell you now is the time for NATO to attack because Russia is no longer able to defend itself.

You are just wrong. They are not morons -- they are gullible fools that are being duped and led down the path by the deep state/CIA/MSM. The same people who told us....

-There was absolutely no fraud in the Trump 2020 election
-The Russians colluded with Trump
-To shut down the economy for two weeks to flatten the curve
-The covid vaccines are absolutely safe and totally effective
-Take the vax shot and you will not get COVID
-Absolutely nothing to see on Hunter's laptop

That's just the shortlist.

And now we hear how Russia is losing the war, running out of missiles, a general a day is killed, etc. Did I mention that Putin is dying? All of this while Russia just took over the 20+% of Ukraine they captured in battle while devastating the Ukrainian Nazis and other soldiers.

Well, maybe you are right. Perhaps they are both fools and morons!

Oh please, nobody in the Ukrainian military is making complex strategy decisions based on what Freepers in their pajamas are saying

“Russia is running out of missiles” is a logical conclusion ... Russia used a lot, they require high-tech electronics to make, and Russia is now isolated from those crucial parts by sanctions

Ukraine is quite capable of drawing those conclusions by themselves, they don’t need us

we are all just observers, commenting

Who has been even supplying Russia with missiles in the first place? How did they ever get their hands on missiles?
